First off, I love these boards - love the ME fan fic.
Since we are all sharing games that we play here, I guess I will start off with I'm an xbox fan, so I work off an xbox one mostly. Love playing GTA V (now that it is out), Fifa, Destiny (hence my username) and a few others.
Most of my time however goes to an online game, Politics and War (politicsandwar.com) It is a crazy addicting game and I love playing it. I work for a police department in communications on midnight shifts so I have a lot of time to devote to it, unfortunately that's the downside to working midnights. Basically you build up a nation, get active within the trade markets, go to war - Not sure if you guys heard of Cybernations or Nation States amongst your travels here on the internet - but its like those game, but 1000x better.
I've been a guest on these forums for quite a while, just reading over things, and it never clicked to share with all of you this game and most of all, my alliance. I think it would be great to get more Mass Effect fans to join the game and my alliance over there...it would just make it all worth it.
The alliance name is Earth Systems Alliance - we created it 12 days ago and we are already one of the larger alliances in the game. We are packed with experienced players, so all the new nations to the game get to learn how to play and how to build their nations up - which is something we assist with as well. We work to donate millions of aid to newer nations so they can grow faster and get stronger. The alliance basically works like, there are tons of positions you can take part in - basically anything under the sun. Writer/journalist, to defense leaders, recruiters, or foreign diplomats. It is a vast system.
I'm just saying - if you're looking for something fun to do online - you only need like 10 minutes a day to successfully run a nation and continue building cities. It isn't designed for you to HAVE to donate cash, you can get strong by just simply playing the game - there is no reason to actually donate unless you're just trying to help Admin.
I say, if you're interested come by our forums at earthsystem.ipbhost.com and join.
You can also create a nation at politicsandwar.com and then head over to politicsandwar.com/alliance/id=898 to join my alliance. I'll be sure to give you guys priority and show you how to get a jump start on your nations to grow significantly faster than most new nations.
This is our flag that I created - usable in-game.
I hope to see you guys around - this is a great community here!
Keep it up!

I don't think you want Buch & Iron running countries. Can you say World War Seventeen?

Or the galaxy burns given the setting, Gorvar.

So the other guy cussed and you were suspended for quoting him? Out of idle curiosity, is there any way to see if he was suspended as well?
Stupid moderation if it was that uneven.

No idea, the dude posts on and off. Also my post got deleted but his isn't.....yeah. You know I got half a mind of quitting that forum. If it weren't for my fanfic (which got over 10 000 views on Fanfiction.net btw) readers I would've left earlier.

Sounds like a mods pet to me. Keep your account and maybe check for PMs from folks reading your stuff but you might be better off away from that shite.

It's on the Blizzard story forums for World of Warcraft. A forum that still uses thumbs down and where most of the regular users dont understand the term "agree to disagree". Also no PM's...sssssuck.

You'd think ActiBlizzard would have better functionality in their forums. Being Blizzard, well the user base there is not exactly known for its tolerance. I lurked there a few years back. the community there had a level of toxicity that baffles me to this day, and I was told a while later by someone that it has gotten worse since. Also what little I saw of the moderation there was beyond corrupt.

It's pretty toxic. For people who actually want to get into WoW's lore they meet this wall of jack asses who say that how the lore now is awfull and you shouldn't bother. Mostly Alliance fanboys jerkwads. Which is really stupid since the lore now is actually quite good in places. It has a few kinks but hey compared to vanilla and the burning crusade, it's light years beter! Also you get shouted at constantly if you have a different opinion from someone else. Honestly this one dude dismembers your entire topic and gives HIS facts on things and says why you are wrong, and also starts bullshitting on your grammar. I told that guy to fack off the edge of my dino dongle several times for that. Hell the misses said i should ignore him and it did wonders for my health. Hell most of the time i just troll him for the sake of trolling...which might explain why i got the suspension >.>
Sometimes I get good links from there and some conversations and fanfics are really good but you always have some rotten worm somewhere.

I don't know about you, but I think all official forums to the respective games are toxic, no matter what sub forum it is. In my honest opinion, if you want to find some good discussions with the lore and stuff, your best bet is to join a smaller but tight communities. After you've done enough lurking to get the feel of the place overall.

You're probably right Tillian. I've seen very little of "official" forums these last few years but my experience with them was pretty effing bad.

Same, with WoW, the old and new BioWare forums. Also I hear that Bethesda forums are just as toxic, so... I've gave up on joining the official sites.
Then again, the bigger the community, the more shits tend to dwell from my experience. I've hardly reply in the Nexus modding site, since it's horrid, despite being a modding community where there's official no affiliation with gaming companies.
Something Awful forums probably does not count, since they have a admittance fee for joining and... I don't blame them.
Uh... ignore what I've just said about SA. I don't want to be that one idiot who open a can of worms.

The forum of the Spoony Experiment is toxic to. Everyone picks fights with you, you aren't allowed to post in different topics because you would be spamming and the mods kick you out after a bullshit three strike system. After I was unsuspended I de-activated my account. I think Total Biscuit said something along those lines that Something Awfull has a less toxic area because of that entrace fee. I know little of SA save that they helped created Slender Man and that's it.
