Dunno if Tabletop games count in this forum section, but blegh.
I've been DMing a recently released Star Wars tabletop game called Edge of the Empire, probably one of the only Extended Universe titles still allowed to exist by Di(ck)sney. It's been a blast so far, and everybody in my group is enjoying it immensely. Kind of surprising, because it's the first tabletop game I've ever DM'ed, and I was nervous as fuck in the process. Afterward, it pretty much came naturally. The story revolves around a garden variety rag tag smuggling team (who ride a YT-2400), who work for a Black Sun underboss by the name of Les Alroy. This boss is a huge manipulative fuckwad and all around bastard who's very much only concerned with himself, while using the crew as his own personal tools.
I've been contemplating turning the campaign into a fanfic once it's done. I have the okays from everyone on board to do so, but I may change a few minor things, regarding fitting the lore/canon and the such, since there's a shitton of real world profanity that doesn't really fit the Star Wars setting. I've also been making ARG style YouTube videos that set the missions in each session.
Episode 1: Pilot
(Creators note: Sounds sampled from Star Wars (of course), stock sounds, System Shock 2, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Battlefield 3)
The Crew is hired by a businessman to loot the wreckage of a crashed Gladiator class Star Destroyer on the planet of Ord Tynoa in a high-risk salvage operation before the Imperials (or the Rebel Alliance) beat them there.
Episode 2: Lawyers, Blasters, and Credits
(Creators Note: TURN ON SUBTITLES. Static sound sampled from Myst. Also I still laugh at my stupid alien gibberish.)
Fresh from their success in the Ord Tynoa job, the Crew, now indebted to Black Sun, is contacted by "businessman" Les Alroy to smuggle a vaccine to the Corporate Sector to combat a massive plague epidemic. Though the contents of the drug are certainly not what they seem...
Episode 3: Black Sunshine
(Creators note: Shipboard background sounds sampled from the 1979 film Alien. Plot of the episode basically ripped off from the movies Yojimbo (1961), Fistful of Dollars (1964) and Last Man Standing (1996))
The increasingly untrustworthy Black Sun Underboss Les Alroy hires the crew once again to deliver a crate of bearer bonds to Nar Shaddaa, the smuggler's moon. While they are there, they are required to assist Black Sun in the illegal spice trade by infiltrating and pitting two criminal organizations, the Hutts and the Zann Consortium against one another, which will not be an easy endeavor.
Episode 4: Get Off of My Cloud
(Creators note: This session hasn't happened yet. Sounds sampled from Star Wars (of course), stock sounds, and System Shock 2. Plot basically Die Hard (1988) in space)
After their betrayal by Alroy, and confirmation of Black Sun infighting, the Crew makes ties with the Rebel Alliance and travels to Bespin to deal with a turncoat, who is financing terrorists leading an uprising on a Tibanna gas platform.
