I hate looking for apartments.
Actually I hate renting. All that money going into someone else's pocket is not my cup of tea. However with my credit ruined buying is out of the question too. *sigh*

I know it's not 2013 anymore, but fuck it. I think this is even worse that your average book with the film/TV adaptation on it. I like Sherlock, but you can't put a photo of the modern day-set show on the front of a book of original stories. You just can't. Possibly the only thing worse would be one with Elementary on it.

I really hate obnoxious people. Really. My best friend and I were on a bus this evening on the way home from work, and the latest winter storm was just starting, so it was snowing and the roads were a little slick. We were sitting near the front of the bus, and I was in one of the side-ways facing seats, which face directly into the faces of the people sitting opposite... and right across from me was this older man who was growling the whole damn way; hurling verbal abuse at the driver (who was a young woman) and another Transit driver who was standing just behind / beside her in the front of the bus. He was yelling at the both of them, accusing the male employee of distracting the female driver, and demanding that she pay attention to the road and stop talking to the other Transit employee.
Just to be clear, her driving was impeccable, and she was not in any way distracted - until this asshat started yelling at her, anyway.
He kept this up for a while until finally one of the other passengers snapped at him to simmer down and let her drive in peace, and the jackass then started yelling at the other passenger. This devolved into a yelling match between the original jackass and various passengers telling him to pipe down, until the driver pulled in to a stop at the side of the road and opened the doors and told the jackass to either shut up or get out. He refused to do either, and when another passenger yelled from the back of the bus "Either shut up, or get out, or I'll bloody well put you out!" I looked at my friend and said "Let's get out here."
We got off the bus to wait at the stop for the next bus (in the cold snowy weather) until the original jerk finally shut his gob. We got back on the bus when the driver indicated that she'd start driving again, only for the jackass to start up again yelling at her and the other Transit guy about distractions while driving as soon as the driver started driving again.
Now, I don't like confrontation - hence why I got off when things got heated, rather than stick it out... but I lost my cool at this point and I snapped back at the asshole "She wasn't distracted until you started shooting off your mouth!" and then he and his wife (yes, someone was apparently married to that verbally abusive twit) both started yelling at me to "Shut the F*&^ up", and I started worrying that he might actually hit someone.
Finally the two of them got off the bus (thankfully a few stops before my stop, as I did not in any way want to be standing in the dark at a bus stop with that creep), and when they got off, the whole bus started expressing extreme relief that he was gone.
I didn't stop shaking until I was walking home from the last bus stop, two bus transfers later (it takes me three buses to get home some nights).
I really really hate confrontation, and even if I keep my mouth shut and my head down, that amount of nastiness in a confined area like a moving bus really makes me nervous. Especially since it was a crowded bus, and I could not move to another seat (as there were no other seats) and he was right across from me - within arms reach, if he was so inclined to get violent. I'd hate to be in the way if he started pushing people around.
