Too tired to speculate...
Seriously, I've only read a brief through at the article and it's safe to say it's still too early make the call, with the lack of concrete information and proof. We could speculate all night long, but at the end of the day, it's all up in the air. Until I see the first concept art or footage posted on the net, I think we should all wait and see, for now.
Although, in my personal opinion, the first thing to get good graces and get me vaguely interested in Dragon Age 3 is NOT to have multiplayer. Not sure about you, but I like to have some quiet time with my RPGs. If I want to play multiplayer with the PVP goodies, I would play WoW, DotA or something along those lines.

I swore I wouldn't pre-order. We shall see.

There better be a sodding dwarf compagnion in it....and shaggery beyond belief. I believe you mean an Orlesian companion voiced by Tommy Wiseau. Because that is the only thing that can make me buy another DA game.

It just... bugs me that they're saying all of this stuff like it's revolutionary. Like, someone has to tell BioWare - the creators of BG, KotOR, and DA:O - that people don't like meaningless choices and running the same dungeon a dozen times?
I just don't get it. They're the company that pioneered stuff like this. That's like Nintendo coming out and saying, "You guys wanted Mario to have the ability to jump in the last game? Fair enough! We listen to our fans!" xD

They're just putting a brave face on it. They don't mean to insult the people who buy their games. At least they don't mean to.
But you're right - that attitude and fake positivity is infuriating. They have the exact same approach to Mass Effect 3's ending. "Oh, you wanted CLOSURE at the end of the story? Well why didn't you say!"

"You should've spoke up before we didn't include it... Bro... We totally would've left you with closure... to a trilogy."

Also it made me wonder if they lost some common sense in the late few years. Everyone wants closure for the endings in all mediums, whether if it's happy or tragic. Even the old greek plays like Euripdes has more closure than this.

I don't understand all the disbelief and sarcasm. Really. And, ohh, yeah. Story closure: 2500 years ago, the Greeks were doing it right. Of course don't think that they weren't trolling each other endlessly about their artistic integrity or lack thereof.

The greek stories most of the time had a sucky ass ending.

...
Still better than the Mass Effect 3 ending. Especially "Oedipius Rex".

... Still better than the Mass Effect 3 ending. Especially "Oedipius Rex". Funnily enough, I would rather kill my father, sleep with my mother and blind myself than play through the ending (or another Dragon Age game) again.
