Three years.
No problem.
How many hours exist in three years? How many minutes spent? How many moments? How do you define one moment as seperate from another?
If you're running, up some hill or through some building, is one step different from the next? Does every step even matter?
Do you matter? What about me?
We both matter. What makes someone matter anyway? How many moments do we spend wondering and waiting and watching when we could be running? Time is wasted. If I only could.
Deal.
Let's start running.

Today, we booted up the PC again, to start playing games.
I don't know why humans were always nagging them to have co-op modes into games, when there's a co-op mode right in front of them already.
It's under their nose.
It's just they can use both hands to play and we can't. Usually when we play on the PC, one toy use the keyboard to navigate, while the other use the mouse to do the shooting.
Speaking of that, Nerjuna and Brandon are arguing about picking a romance partner between Tali and Jack right now.
I'll be right back.

"I hate spiders."
"Why do you hate spiders?"
He shrugs. "I don't know. Maybe it's something about the way they move."
"I remember this one time, in one of my philosophy classes, there was a spider walking across the room. I stopped everything and took it outside. When I came back, the professor questioned me for what felt like ten minutes why I did that, what was my motivation."
I turn to look at him again but he's already turned and walked away. I guess I'm not the only one who can prove so heartless.

Nerjuna wanted to try the DA2 demo, that Vicky just downloaded a few weeks ago from Uni... guess we both have something in common: we're both kleptomaniacs. Supposedly, she's not suppose to use their bandwidth for anything other than schoolwork. Then again, she can pull off the “I'm using this demo as a research for games” card.
Back to the topic, I'm not looking forward to this, especially after seeing Vicky playing and rifting at the same time. However, Nerjuna insists me joining up with her.
Alright then, pick the mage and let me use the mouse this time.

I am not a leader so screw anyone who says that about me. It's not a good idea to follow my pattern. Apparently I've made a couple "bad decisions" and it's sure not my time to make any amends.
It could be worse. There are plenty of screwed up people out there without a good reason for it, people who like to piss people off for the sake of pissing people off. I shouldn't be counted among their numbers. Just wish that she'd figure that out.

This is interesting, Till. It's a diary and a fiction at the same time...

You can say that but I don't write diaries for me, I just try to write in 1st person perspective, who happens to be a toy.
To be fair, I've tend to feel like picking on stuff once in a while... like DA and other pop culture trends, through the eye of a doll of course.

Goddamn it!
Vicky has gone to Uni without taking me along. I suppose that’s part of being an adult. It does suck sometimes but I suppose it could be worse, at least she kept us around at her age.
I hear tragic stories how toys were outgrown. Those who are lucky tend to be given away to some nice kid. Others are not so fortunate. Some are being thrown out to that purgatory shithole that is known as Savers to humans.
The worse fate can happen to us toys, is being in a dump.
My joints seemed to be cold…

Do dolls dream of a ball-jointed turian?
I think I do. While I was napping in the afternoon yesterday, I saw Garrus in his ball-jointed doll form. He was… handsome for a doll. I was pretty pissed off when I woke up. There’s no Garrus doll in real life… not that I know off anyway.
But the point is that… what’s with all the girl dolls swooning over Jacob and Edward from Twilight? I don’t care if they are well made and came from the Tonner line, they are so overrated…
Speaking of Tonner… I’m from the same line.
Crap.

I feel compelled to mention, I think there actually is a Garrus doll. He's from the same line as that terrifying Justin Timberlake Shepard figure.

The sound of the waves crashing upon the rocks fills the air, creating a beat that I might dance to. Others dance, their feet pounding on the sand; I walk. I can see them dancing, dancing.
Others fly; I walk still. There is a true comfort in walking, the gentle placement of one foot before the other, an endless cycle. Walking is kinder than flying.
If I had wings, I'd cut them down. I'd rather fall like Icarus into the waves, be assured of my own disaster, before I take a risk of success.

It is totally half-diary! I meant that as a compliment, btw. It's new and unusual to merge fiction with real life like that.

I was kind of aware of that except he's an action figure and she's an actual doll. The problem with them is that he's a 6 inch figure while she's like... 10 inches taller than him. Here's a comparison. One on the left is another Shepard toy, this time a 6 inch figure that is from the same line as Garrus, except I've 'modified' her heavily and the one on the right is a doll Shepard, also made by me as well. (Working on getting her some decent clothing that looks Mass Effect-esque) So yeah... we do have a bit of a problem there... Still I want those action figure, they looked almost bad-ass... probably except for Meathead/Bishie Shepard

I'm drowning and no one is looking.
I wish someone would turn around but I wonder if they'd turn all the way back around, pull the whole fracking 360, and pretend they never saw anything at all. Maybe that would serve me right. I don't think so.
I'm suffocating and no one is looking.
Sometimes I wonder why people like to look at train tracks. Maybe it's because they like to see the kinetic potential of the impending crash. Yet they always turn away, shield their eyes, just before the explosion. Well, boom.

"We sort of... stumbled into each other."
"We did."
"Kind of like..."
"Like what?"
"I dunno; fate?"
"I don't think so. What do you think? What do you feel?"
"Is there a difference?"
There was a long silence. "Yes."
"Do you really believe that?"
"Yes."
Frustration builds. "If you say so."
"You're not going to fight me?"
"I won't waste my breath."
"Are you sure?"
"I am."
"It's going to be like this."
"That's right."
"Are you certain?"
"Didn't I just say that?"
"You did."
"Yes. I did."
"We sort of stumbled into each other."
