www.youtube.com/user/MarbleHornetsNot sure if this hasn't been mentioned on the forum before, but it's a really interesting and spooky YouTube horror series that a few of my friends referred me to. It's filmed in the vein of Blair Witch Project and Cannibal Holocaust. During the first few videos I was quite bored and unimpressed, but after a while it grew on me, especially at part seven. Also, they made a separate tie in channel for the "villain's" point of view: www.youtube.com/user/totheark

I've been watching these tonight and I'm near the end now. Sadly I have to go to work, now. But I've been enjoying this series a lot.
Thanks for the link, Cali.

By the way there is a new video up - I think the new 'series' has begun...
Sadly not much happens in it, but that's the beauty of this thing: the realism.

I've just started watching these the past few days. I've just finished part 26. Scary stuff, though I am very easily scared...

Well TVTropers like yourself are notorious for wetting your panties over the smallest stuff. But seriously, Entry 27 is when Season 2 starts. It isn't finished yet as they update gradually, but I have to say Season 2 is turning out to be even better than the first. It isn't quite as scary but it's far more suspenseful, better shot, has better sound, and actually introduces a new character who has a decent actor for a change! And for those who don't know yet (should have posted this earlier), Season 1 (Entries 0-26) has been released on DVD. Knight and I have it already, and the commentary is pretty good (not great however). The deleted scenes, bloopers, and bonus material is good too. www.marblehornetsdvd.com/

I'm personally not finding the second season to be as strong as the first so far. There are a few loopholes in logic, and the conversations between the girl and Jay are pretty cringeworthy. But it's still pretty damn good. Like Cali said, they've upped the production values and it's a little more focused on delving into the mysteries they set up in season one. I'm still really liking it. =D
And yeah, the DVD is pretty awesome.

Just finished watching Entry #40. I don't think I'm gonna sleep very well tonight. (I had a suit hanging up on my wardrobe, which I've put away for now.)

You should check out EverymanHYBRID if you liked Marble Hornets. I personally think it's way more effective and freakier. The acting is great, too. But it does get a little convoluted near the end, which is a shame. www.youtube.com/user/EverymanHYBRID

Definately, agree. For those who don't know, EverymanHYBRID is essentially a fake exercise blog gone horribly wrong, and it's very well done. Also check out TribeTwelve, which is the scariest of the "Slenderman Three" on YouTube. It starts out really similar to Marble Hornets then changes pace near the middle/beginning. Unfortunately, some of the actors really suck, particularly the character of Milo. youtube.com/user/TribeTwelveBe warned: I found it a hell of a lot scarier than Marble Hornets and EverymanHYBRID combined. Partly due to how convincingly terrified the protagonist gets at times, but mostly because the special effects and sound are unbelievably well done.

Entry 41 just got uploaded. Gonna watch it after I go grab a beer downstairs. It's the perfect night for being scared...

These two are still the creepiest of totheark's videos:

The one with the footage of that Soviet experiment where they tried to rescuitate an animal creeps me out, too.
