LOL! Silly Liara, she's all...blue and stuff... (Hey, I'm planning on purchasing Kasumi at some point, and if they ever come up with a Joker or Normandy or Garrus-centered DLC....)

Typically play as Fem Shepard because I honestly think that Jennifer Hale's voice acting is much better, so that's typically the character type that my fiction deals with. Posted a story today, Dinner and a Shrink, and thought it might not be a bad idea to introduce myself. Although I tend to play Male Shep, I definitely agree: Jennifer Hale's VA has oodles more of that emotional realism in it. And thank goodness she got a decent role other than Bastila from KOTOR, man. *bleh* Bastila is the reason I like the second game better, even with all it's screw ups. Speaking of other great voice actors, Kelly Hu needs to be in ME3. There's a certain je ne sais quoi about her... Anyway, welcome taj1702, apologies for that tangent haha, I'll be checking out your story as soon as I can!

Thanks for the welcome. Just posted a new chapter in the story today. (Shameless plug).
I enjoyed both KOTOR games. I've heard a lot of people complain about the second one, but even with, as you said all of its screwups, I think it's a fun game, and I definitely wouldn't mind hearing Kelly Hu do a voice in ME 3.
And as far as the voice acting is concerned. It's not that I think that Mark Meer is a bad voice actor. Far from it. I just think Male Shep comes off as a little dry.
