Greetings, salutations and... oo! Shiny! Hmm. Let's try that again. I normally don't go starting new threads while under the influence of painkillers, but then, I'm not usually dealing with a back injury that requires the use of said painkillers. Out in the 'real world', I work in health care and do most of my writing during lunch breaks in my car (no small feat, since it's been 90+ degrees where I live). I also live on a farm in the arse end of nowhere, run ultramarathons, play drums, and haunt used bookstores. I haven't posted fanfics here yet, but I have a couple that are works in progress on my computer. I'll post those when my head isn't spinning and I can actually see straight (which should be tomorrow, assuming I don't need to take Oxycontin again). I think I'll end this here while I'm still sitting upright and typing somewhat coherently. Cheers.

Welcome to the forums. I'm the resident slacker here who doesn't write but tried to have a witty opinion on some things. We have a nice small friendly crew here. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I can't write a word unless I'm in a certain room, at a certain computer, with a cup of tea. I do read in the car, though!
Welcome battlechantress - good to have you around. And get well.

Welcome to our backwater forums! Where a few residents from the actual BioWare forums go and relax here.
Yeah, that's pretty impressive that you can write within a busy timeframe and the condition. I'm having a hard time to write in big chunks, especially I'm dealing with Uni atm... and they are very demanding with time.
And I'm going to check out the resources that you linked. So, make yourself comfortable.

One thing I forgot to mention when it comes to me and critiques: I spent 7 years working with my father in the printing industry as a kid, so I am probably a little *too* used to proofreading and pointing out errors (but back then, I was paid to do it!). I'm sure I also have an 'inner English teacher' lurking in me as well. If that bugs anybody, just let me know (I'm not doing it to be a jerk, honest).

Actually you're not the only one who corrects other people with grammar in this forums. Buch is the pioneer of the Grammar Nazi in here. I think he's much a nitpicker as you, so I'm sure you'll fit in here just fine.
