I've read a lot of the stuff. Today I've come across one that has just slam dunked my top 10 list and sent it back to nursery school. I would like to nominate The Destroyer by Windeer on Fanfiction.net as a beautifully crafted amalgamation of pure brilliance. www.fanfiction.net/s/5787797/6/The_Destroyer

I have few a good handful of ME fanfics! I have mentioned this one before, but again I'd like to nominate it here- "Harvest" by Inyri Ascending - a beautifully written five-chapter piece. www.fanfiction.net/s/5028195/1/HarvestIt's about a young Chief Shepard and her squad, going up against the Thresher Maws on Akuze. Reeeeeeally good. And this author is apparently a doctor, too. How the hell she found time to polish this story so well is beyond me.

I stopped delving into ff.net because most of it degrades the healthiness of my eyes, and I gave up looking for good ones.
I'll give the stuff you guys posted a try, since I trust ya'll.

"Interstitium" (click for link) is one of the few fics in any fandom I've bothered to start evangelizing about. It features a lot of the main characters (with a slight bias towards Tali) and has some awesome descriptions of what exactly Cerberus did to Shepard.

Sinvraal has a series of pretty good fics: Iunctio - Covers the events of Mass Effect 1 Iunctio: Wrex - Companion chapters concurrent to Iunctio, from Wrex's POV. Onus - Takes place shortly after the end of Mass Effect 1. Domus - Takes place shortly after Onus. Xun - Occupies a space somewhere between the two games, probably closer to the beginning of Mass Effect 2. Exitus - Covers the events of Mass Effect 2. (In progress, usually updates Thursdays) Standard Issue Life by kirjailija is pretty well written. It's about Kaidan from after (Fem!)Shepard died to horizon. Last but not least is: An Unfortunate Mix Up!, which is pure cracky fun surrounding the circumstances and repercussions of Shepard having a child with Tali.

Found this the other day. It's pretty good and I like the way he managed to keep the characters close to the canon. Mind you, bring in the tissues for this one, it's such a tearjerker The Hundred Year Distance

Oh yes, "The Hundred Year Distance". I've read that multiple times and I STILL tear up at the end.
Yes, bring tissues. You will need them. I also have to say that it's one of the very few stories with smut in it that I don't mind reading. (I recently came to the conclusion that a lot-- not all-- of fanfic authors write smut just to cover up the fact that they don't have much else they want to say/write. I could be wrong on this, but thus far, I seem to be proven right.)

If you've ever wondered what might happen if you channeled Lovecraft while writing fanfic, the result might be this: Call of the Elder MachinesNuclearBuddha actually pulls it off. Unfortunately, it's all on one huge blog page. If you can get past that, though, it's a great read.

I've just skim-read it so far, but that looks very, very good.

Ooooh! a ME and Warhammer 40k crossover! Just like old times with that Neon Genesis Evangelion and 40k crossover.
Good times!

I love me some Warhammer 40K!
Will check it out. Just as long as Shepard isn't a freaking Ultramarine or Blood Raven.
