Well, normally I'm not into bragging my gaming ego with my fellow gamers since it's kinda juvenile but...
Guess what? I've managed to have the "No one is left behind" achievement on my first playthrough. I've even took some screenies to prove it too. Without a guide too. Hence it does made me feel good concidering I was on the edge of my seat in the final mission, hoping that I've didn't screw up anything along the way. The cherry on top was... well I'll give you a small hint: Shepard flipped the middle finger at the Illusive man metaphorically. That moment after the whole suicide mission where everyone is alive including Shepard, gave me a nice warm fuzzy feeling.
Not sure if anyone noticed but seems like you get reward more for acting more "professional" when dealing with team mates fighting on the ship. When Jack and Miranda started the cat fight, I've took the middle option that basically boils down to, "Stop acting like a bunch of whiny high schoolgirls and concentrate on the mission." So I've didn't loose any loyalty from either Jack or Miranda, but it made my Shepard feeling like a kindergarten teacher. Didn't helped that she decided to act more "professional" this time and not committing fraternisation.
One other advice. When Tali and Legion started to fight over the data in the Normandy, if you have enough paragon points, PICK the paragon option in the dialougue if you want to keep both Tali and Legion happy and not losing their loyalty.
Anyways, this supposed to be a no spoiler threads but you guys spoiled a bit. Fortunately as I've said before, I've finished the game and yes I do felt the same way as you guys. I've haven't got that feeling with game endings since Okami. It does hurt a bit. I was tempted to write a fan fic after this but I'm going to wait to cool myself down a bit before I'll write it again.
By the way, does anyone noticed that BioWare enjoys punching the player metaphorically, especially on emotional moments? Not just how the game ends if you screw up some things but also in moments like the Horizon mission. God... I was feeling cut after the end of the mission. Again. Just one hint: Someone that Shepard really cared about, chewed her out BIG time. I was both upset and pissed at the time when that scene occured. As she said at the end of the Horizon mission, "I've had enough of this colony." That pretty sums up my feelings about that mission.
