When I think of Spectres I think, British SAS or US navy Seals, you know stealthy techie killers. Infiltrators were my favorite class in ME1 and that has not changed.

I have yet to try anything but the Soldier class, though Buch said some awesome things about the Infiltrator. Thinking I'll probably go that route next time around, especially since sniping is a lot of fun now. =D

Infiltrators aren;t all they once were. I used to love using Overload and Sabotage as my main weapons. Now you just have this 'Incinerate' rubbish. But you do get to turn invisible, so that's cool.

i think Bioware wanted to use more of a rock, paper, scissors approach to combat this time. Don't knock incinerate. It is a pretty good power that can be lobbed over obstacles. I miss the shield burning, but under the new system, giving infiltrator too much anti-shield power would have made them too powerful. Disruptor ammo plus tempest submachine gun will rip any shield down pretty darn quick.
Incinerate could be a nod to the combat engineers of WW2 with the flamethrowers.

Incinerate are fun! I've always make mordin to burn stuff. Also, who said Infiltrators piss weak? They can go through Insanity much more easier than adepts imo. Adepts are horrid if you tried to make a Insanity run through. They are not as powerful as the old adept system from ME1. I can't pull singularity as much as I want it to due to enemies loved covering them selves up with barriers, sheilds and armour. So yeah, I'm not feeling invincible, quite the opposite actually. I'm not whining over being nerfed to the ground in ME2. I can see why developers need to pull adepts down to a notch due to them being a game breaker in ME1 but still, I'm feeling a little weak. Despite of the shit I have to go through in insanity, I'm still going to give a shot in adepts. I think it's possible to make it through but it requires to be more finesse both in reflexes and tactics. On the other hand, I love the new combos for biotics in ME2. Singularity + Warp = space explosions!

Aw I'm looking forward to the Insanity Playthrough xD
I was so damn amused in the first game when the Achievement branded me an 'Extreme power gamer'. I want that pride again!

I miss Immunity, Adrenaline Burst may be quite handy, but it just can't compare to having an immunity to being shot in the face.

Infiltrators kick ass in ME2, but were a little crap in ME1. I also find it surprising how the shotgun has gone from best in ME1, to worst in ME2.
I like incinerate, and I love Mordin's line when he uses his "Highly flammable... or inflamable... can't remember which... doesn't matter!"

Soldier is cool, and probably will always be my favorite. But Infiltrator's cloak is hardcore. It like the enemys don't know how to respond.
