A look at the armor and casual appearance customization.

Yes.
Yes, God, yes.
This is the first thing I would have changed in Mass Effect.

First thing I'd would do in ME2. I'm soooo fucking vain with my Shepard!

A few updates according to the new N7 development diary:
-Your ships guns can be upgraded. If you don't upgrade them, it will have consequences in the endgame. The upgrades are not bought, but are the result of finding technology on side quest planets.
-Charm and intimidate are not skills that can be built on the stat/skill menu. They are affected by the amount of paragon and renegade points you have.
-The Mako has been replaced with a dropship. No, you can't fly it. Sorry.

No Mako?!
I know everyone hates it but I honestly didn't. I will miss it.

There may be no mako but there is still vehicle gameplay in it. The wiki says there will be launch day DLC for a vehicle called the Hammerhead, a hover tank, that is described as handling terrain well, so presumably there are still vehicle levels.
On the subject of armour customisation, I really hope we can remove the weird emphasis some of the in the original put on the crotch area/ breasts. It was sort of difficult trying to take Shepard seriously as the saviour of mankind when they had such silly armour.

-Charm and intimidate are not skills that can be built on the stat/skill menu. They are affected by the amount of paragon and renegade points you have. That's an interesting and refreshing way to modified your "charisma" points. I have to admit, investing points into the usual charisma skill section didn't seem sounded like fun to me, honestly. So it's quite a refreshing change and encourages the player to empathise between the paragon and ranegade alignment. The alignment choosing in ME1 were good but I felt it it's a little cosmetic in a sense of RP rather then being deeply intergrated with the gameplay. So yeah, I welcome that change.

I disagree. I really liked that the character's morality was not tied to the 'charm' and 'intimidate' - so I could be doing nice things via intimidation.
It gave me a lot of freedom in developing the character.

Agree with Buch to. What if I want to be Neutral? I have no skills what so ever? Plus I wanna remain neutral because I don't want glowing eyes. Wish they made that optional.

It sort of is optional, just make sure to recruit Mordin as soon as possible, so he can open the Normandy's research lab and work on the project to remove them completely.

Thank Christ.
