Sports huh? Well I was really sporty as a kid. I was the goal keeper for the Woolacombe Knights, under 12's football (soccer) team for 4 years. I wanted to continue when we moved to London but there is no such thing as a girls or mixed gender team in the city. What backwards people the townies are.
I was also on the Woolacombe swim team but I only managed to win once. I'm more of a endurance swimmer, I can just keep going at a quick speed rather than a short burst. I was the duck diving champion for 6 years running though. I have those medals on show. lol The whole swimming stuff pretty much stopped at about 12 though, I had a traumatic experience when someone held me under the water until I lost consciousness. They thought it was funny... bastard. I get in a panic when I see deep water now, sometimes bath tubs set me off. But my friend Helen has been trying to get me over it for a while now. She can get me into the centre of the deep pool now but I'm still not going near the 15 foot end on my own. I get a serious buzz swimming though.
Highschool I was on the Badminton, Trampolining and they were always trying to drag me away from the boys basketball team and into the Girls netball team. I hate netball. Why do all the good teams only come packaged for boys? I still Basketball. We have a hoop on the patio but Northern white boys can't play. lol It makes me miss the stereotypical black guys that used to live next door. At least they could play.
Frisbee, yeah I spent the first year at University a frisbee addict. Sometimes I'd go out with the guys at 3am and we'd drink and play frisbee to the crack of dawn. That swiftly stopped when I settled down with Daniel ... I thought it was the man who was supposed to lose all his friends and fun times?
Mounting biking and stunt racing. I used to do that a lot from 12-19. I've always gone hiking does that count as a sport? lol Well if Golf can count as a sport I put to you that Hiking can to.
As for fighting I've studied Kung fu, Kickboxing, boxing, tai chi, Japanese katana, archery and rifle shooting.
God I sound like I've had a busy life... I'm not even finished. I grew up at the UK's 2nd rated surf beach so of course I surfed. lol Horse riding to and motorcycle/quad racing. The motorcycle racing was incredibly illegal but the closest police station to us at the time was nearly 2 hours out. They'd never find out.
I think that's everything.... I'll just go check my medal stash to make sure.
