I'm thinking of having another haircut, but not sure about the style. I really like things like this; ( link), ( link) and ( link), but I'm not sure if I'm feminine enough to pull it off without just perpetuating some unflattering stereotypes... What do you guys think?

The last time I saw it, it was already short I think....
This is not my forte. I do my own haircuts and they are not artful.
I hear you about the unflattering stereotypes, but I do think you can pull this off.

Fairly short, yes. It comes just above where my back meets my neck at the back, and about chin level at the front. It desperately needs something doing to it - the last cut I got was bloody awful, and the longer it grows, the worse it gets.
Considering dyeing it too. Probably that same white-blonde as the pictures, with something bolder underneath (like red or pink or something)...

You could pull it off but I agree with Buch on the dyeing. Blond with a darker colour underneath won't look as good as you think it will. With your eye colour I'd suggest either chocolate, black or dark plum. It'll bring out your eyes and soften your skin tone.

I think it looks great on you long. No, I meant the longer this cut gets. The hairdresser did a really poor job, and all the flaws in the cut are becoming more and more obvious as it grows. I'm still deciding on the colour, though...

A honey colour would look good to. Just keep away from really light colours because they just drown out your natural features. I'd also suggest keeping away from multi-colour. My friend Karen got a three colour done with a short cut like the one you're after and it looked bad. I mean real bad. We spent a night dying it this dark pink in the end. lol She actually got away with that. Anyways, with your eye colour and skin tone darker shades suit you. I'd even go as far to suggest an electric blue colour.

Wait wait wait... I was just squinting at a photo of you. I think I'm muddling up your features. Are your eyes blue or brown?

I'm not actually sure. I always thought they were blue, but I just checked and now I can't tell if they're or blue or a bit green...
They're not dark, either way.

Ah then the darker colours yes. Darker shades bring out blue/green eyes. If you're very pale coloured then black and similar dark colours define the skin tone. Chocolate and honey colours for a skin tone with a touch of tan, it gives a healthy glow but still brings out the eyes.

I've decided, I'm going to print out the following images and take them to the hairdresser, and say I want something like that, as long as I can still look vaguely feminine ( /not like a dyke), or just get them to tidy up the haystack my last stylist left. I'll not go for a colour this time, but wait to see if I actually like the cut first. What you think?

love it. I think it'll suit you.
I randomly got a haircut myself yesterday. Its soemthing a bit logner than what you're going for but kinda short. Its similar to a bob almost. I've decided to leave it alone until january now then go in and get a dark blond put in my hair. I've been wanting to do the pixie look sicne I was 12 but everybody always tells me it won't suit me. Pfft... I still want a mohawk to.

Actually if I get some gel I can do a reasonable version of a mohawk with my hair this short but its just to thick to stand up. Gonna need some of that super glue hair stuff.

Gah, help me decide, guys! My appointment is tomorrow but I still don't know if I'm going to get the short style.
Bearing in mind I wear little make up, and don't dress feminine, am I likely to look like a dyke? One of my flatmates says I might do, and the other says I'll look like a lesbian but not necessarily dykey. Is it worth the risk?
If I do get it short, and it looks awful, it'll take a good while to grow back, and I might lose any chance I might have with this girl. Or, there's a chance I get it done and I CAN pull it off and it looks good.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, HELP ME INTERNET!
