Of course, I may been ranting about games for likes ages but I'm pretty sure there are a couple of games that warm our hearts.
I'm talking about games that make you smile in any sort of a way, whether will be the storyline, characters, gameplay or just about anything that make you go "awwww... this is why I'm a gamer."
Here are a couple of games that made me smile throughout my life time so far:
-Wonder Boy III: Dragon's Trap -Mischief Makers (aka: Go Go! Trouble Makers) -Super Mario 64 -Banjo-Kazooie -Zelda: Ocarina of Time -Neverwinter Nights 1, especially with Hordes of the Underdark -Okami -Donkey Kong (Original version where Mario first starred) -Zelda: Link's Awakening -Katamari -Soul Calibur 3 -Monkey Island -and of course.... Mass Effect
Those are the games that I've finished so far that made up to the games I would not want to trade off at EB list.

Ocarina of Time is the biggest one for me. The music of the end credits stayed with me and it's like the theme music for my childhood.
Super Mario Bros 1, 2 and 3, Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart and Turtles in Time. And Starfox 64! All of those make me very glad they invented nintendos.

Ah yes Zelda... you know I've still have the soundtrack on my (messy) desk. So once I can get that disc working properly again I'll send you the end theme of the song.
Also yeah... Super Mario Bros 1 and 3. 2 is ok but the original Super Mario Bros 2 on the NES is actually not the real version. That's actually Doki Doki Shipman with the Mario Fanchise skin. Reason why the real Super Mario Bros 2 didn't come out to the westen world at the time? Due to being afraid that the Yanks are not smart enough to beat the game.
Fortunately the Super Mario Bros All-star on the SNES, it finally release the real version of the Super Mario Bros 2, which is known as "The lost levels."
That's your trivia for the day.

So once I can get that disc working properly again I'll send you the end theme of the song. Thank you! You rock, Tillian! You have to admit, in Westerners' defence, that "The Lost Levels" is hard as hell! I've beaten it a few times, but I don't always win. I know Mario 2 is a rip off of Doki Doki (I love game history), but I still love it! It'll always be Mario 2 to me. Incidentally, the end music from it is also an emotional memory for me.

I like soundtracks - particularly the orchestral ones to movies. John Williams and so on. I never stop the movie until the end of the credits if it has a big score.
Phillip Glass (I think is his name) does wonderful scores for films with lots of piano. He did a beatuiful one that plays all the way through my copy of Dracula and makes the classic movie twice as good.

I'm a big fan of orchestral scores myself. Thats the kind fo stuff that interested me into music to begin with. I enjoy String sections and woodwinds the most. Never been to fond of brass though. lol

More heartwarming games, from my youth-
Golden Axe Rodlands Xenon 2 Battle Chess (Those last three I had for Amiga.) Perfect Dark, on multiplayer, with three of us running away from 'FistSim', the computer-controlled character who would chase you and beat you to death in a corner.

Dragon Age is on my list now due to giving that old school feel to it... I miss those times.
Fallout 3 now on my list. Not the best game in the world but it's a better alternative to wind down on a shitty mood than WoW. Also the mod friendliness helps to make to that stage.
I would think up more but atm I'm kinda depressed.

Perfect Dark, on multiplayer, with three of us running away from 'FistSim', the computer-controlled character who would chase you and beat you to death in a corner. And when he did, the other three players would shout, "You've been Fisted!!" We... we were young. Dragon Age gave me that warm feeling a few times! Mainly because it made me feel like I was playing Knights of the Old Republic again - those were the days, man. What a game.
