Looks like Joker broke the Normandy is what happened. -.-
I saw escape pods. He can't walk right. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Joker's gonna go out in a blaze of glory in this game.
I calls em hows I sees em. Whale biologist.

I'm still confused about Joker's fate. Bioware says he'll come back but seeing the Normandy got screwed big time... How would Joker can survive all of this? Shepard is alive from the looks of it but now I'm fucking worried about Joker. I hate it when BioWare pull the fan's heartstring... no wait that's a understatement. More like playing the fan's heart string like a fiddle. In other News, Shepard will be join forces with Cerberus in ME2. Confirmed on the official ME2 website.

Shepard is alive from the looks of it but now I'm f**king worried about Joker. That really made me laugh. Aw I bet Joker will be fine! It's Joker, goddamnit! He'll make it out. Also - Shepard is teaming up with who now? That sounds good.

I calls em hows I sees em. Whale biologist. "You're lumpy and you smell bad!" Hehehe. With regards to Joker; I never liked him anyway. I will shed no tears at his passing. I wonder if we'll have to repair the Normandy, or get a new ship... If its a new one, I hope it has decent lighting.

This looks awesome. I'm looking through the main site now and reading up on the new aliens the Vorcha.
I also saw that it said Shepard will be working with Cerberus... Awesome!

Well looks like Joker is going down with the ship. In other words, seems like his true love might be the SSV Normandy. Hence he refuses to leave his seat... www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/58969e3.gamespot.com/story/6210981/mass-effect-2-e3-2009-impressionsInteresting enough, BioWare did say the KIA is true. It's possible to kill off Shepard in one of the choices. I guess I have to take the cruel option and let Joker die if saving his ass cause Shepard's demise. Hard choice and I really hope that wasn't the case of the outcomes if I choose to drag Joker from his seat, depending of the factors from the last save game and the choices you make before hand... Well I'm delusion, but I hope there's the 3rd option...

So Shepard is the protagonist ina ll three games, but you can kill him off halfway through?
How the hell does that make sense?! Now I'm really confused.
The game does sound terrific. But I just don't see how you can make a sequel to something in which any or none of the characters, including the protagonist! can die. Also I have no idea how you're supposed to write a parody for that.

Still too early plus the game journalists tends to exagerate facts a little too much. Besides since the game is still in development, who knows what's going to happen down the line of the production timeline. Remember how one of the main mission for ME1 was cut due to time contraints? Yeah, anything could happen. And another thing. The part where Shepard dies in the middle of ME2 kinda reminds me of the developer's diary for Fable 2. Remember how Peter Molyneux said if the hero of Fable 2 dies and s/he is replaced by the hero's child discussion? Well that didn't go so well, as they had to ditch it due to negative feedback from the gamers. Well I really hope BioWare knows what they are doing with this trick because after that incident with Lionhead Studios, I'm a little concern abot having the main protagonist die in the middle. Anyways I'll probably block my ears and sing "Lalalalalala" instead soon, as I think not only I've spoiled myself from watching the storyline leaking but also the fact after hearing the possibilty of have both Shepard and Joker getting a call from the grim reaper, guess it's a good time to shut my eyes till the game comes out... As for the parody... yeah that's going to be hard. Maybe you could try pull a Deus Ex Machnima and have a gag joke about Shepard being illogically come back to life like Kenny from South Park in the older episodes. Edit: More news! Apprently at the end of ME2, it's open ended, unlike ME1. www.joystiq.com/2009/06/03/impressions-mass-effect-2-suicide-mission/

You're quite right Tillian. Whatever happens in the game, it's time to stop reading the spoilers now before they really do spoil it.
This new article makes it sound like you can have Shepard sacrifice herself - and it says she dies at the end, if at all. This is a relief.
I will be absolutely fascinated to see how this ties into the third game. Well played, Casey...

lol! I was tired, but I couldn't have been more sane when it came to the Iron Giant reference.
And yeah, that would be a great twist ending to our little prequel: Joker flies into the sun and dies.
