Well the Overmind-er the beneficent communal bliss that everyone would get from being forcably merged into a hive mind wold keep things interesting for a bit. Frankly I am amazed that Bioware was essentially treating this as the optimal ending. It creeps me out even more than the Reapers winning.

Plus, imagine if you were trying to get to sleep and your partner just wouldn't stop glowing green like some weird bioluminescent nightlight.

I just realised the music that plays in the elevators in ME1 is a muzak-y version of the Citadel's main theme or whatever.
Fucking brilliant.
Aand despite my earlier shit-talking, I just died to one of Saren's assassins on the Citadel. In my defense, I'm used to the combat of 2 and 3 at this point.

Not to mention the idea that somewhere out in the galaxy, a virus could wipe everyone out, because their biology were mostly the same, rather diverse enough to have a few people surviving due to genetic traits might benefit then in a weird possible way. Such as the Black Plague, where apparently some people with a certain type of blood managed to survive in some way.

That'd be a bit of a pisser, having malware on your soul.

I was dreading doing the Scan the Keepers sidequest, but after years of Ubisoft collectathons and getting all the shards in Inquisition, it honestly wasn't that bad. There's only like 22 of them across three areas.

I just had Shepard fire the Cain while fighting that big Oculus thingy in the Normandy's cargo bay.
Commander Shepard: Humanity's Greatest Tactician.

The Overlord DLC should of been called "A Beautiful Mind... FOR MURDER!"

Funniest part of my most recent Mass Effect 2 playthrough: My 99% Paragon Shepard just instantly shooting Kolyat's hostage in the head during Thane's loyalty mission.
Clearly, Shepard is a huge fan of Speed.
