KFC just close down and finish the death you have been dying for the past decade please. /photo/1ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/kfc-just-released-one-most-155648026.htmlThis is a food item that just should not be. Weirdly I could accept the original double down, I would never eat one but i could accept it, but this is a culinary abomination that could actually spark a real life blight on our world.

And here I thought Epic Meal Time was on its way out in terms of relevance...

Lemme put it this way. KFC has been trying to rope in to my yearly craving pretty intensely lately. This will postpone it indefinitely.

No Popeye's up here. Thinking about getting an air fryer to make my own fried chicken crap but chain fried chicken is generally terrible for you.

...
Dammit...
Well, I better go find the vegetable oil. And also possibly a whole chicken, too. I should probably get more practice carving my whole chickens...

New pet hate.
People who wear too much cologne or perfume. That goes double when they do so at work and are managers. I nearly got a migraine yesterday from smelling some rank substance but I was not sure who was wearing it. There was no doubt this morning that it was the opening manager. This stuff has a role, in small quantities outside of work. But you should not smell like a Bavarian whorehouse when you are wearing it.
I did speak to one of the other managers about it and hopefully it will be tactfully addressed. I'm not usually bothered by this shit but then I am not usually around i any more either. Whatever else I have to work with these people and I should not be coughing my lungs out around them.

Ohh, I agree with you there Linders... I'm rather sensitive to perfumes and colognes, so the smell of it in large quantities gives me terrible headaches and in some cases makes it hard for me to breathe. So I was rather grateful for the lovely email reminder about our office's "Scent Sensitive" policy that went out to the whole floor today - some people seem to have forgotten and come in in the mornings smelling like they bathed in AXE or some relevant form of ladies' perfumes.
Now on to one of my current pet peeves. I hate hate hate obnoxious passive aggressive people who get really sarcastic at inopportune times. Also, customers who blatantly lie to me when dealing with their insurance quotes.
For examples:
1. After I've applied the highest discount available for a certain customer: "Oh, is that really your best offer? You must be having a laugh."
2. After telling me they called me first before shopping around for other quotes: "Oh, that's far to dear. (Other insurer) is offering me better cover for half that price." (And by the way, I know what some of the other insurers offer, but I am not allowed to call these ... people ... out on their blatant lies. Unfortunately.)
3. After I've said exactly these words: "Ok, so I've applied the maximum discount available as a loyalty bonus since you've been with us for so long.": Customer replies: "That's a good start, now what about something for loyalty, since I'm such a loyal customer?" (*massive facepalm*)
I have a massive load of other examples but I don't want to type for the next few hours to list them all so I'll stop here.
I'm just getting really frustrated with this, and I feel like I may be starting to burn out, because I work my ass off every damn day trying my hardest to make everyone I talk to happy, and I am getting sick and tired of this ungrateful obnoxious passive aggressive behavior.
I do get some really really nice customers, and sometimes I wish I could talk to those sweeties all day. It would make my work life so much less stressful.
*beat*
*sigh*
Sorry for the rant, people. Rant over now.

All this stuff about the government pardoning Turing and other people arrested for homosexuality. It isn't something you should be pardoned for, it's something the government ought to apologise for.

Glow - True. But it's more than a lot of unfairly punished people get.
Lily - All valid pet peeves, but I'm surprised you didn't add "My fiance is talking with detail about Bavarian Whorehouses"
*troll face*

Lily - All valid pet peeves, but I'm surprised you didn't add "My fiance is talking with detail about Bavarian Whorehouses" *troll face* Ah, but see... the thing is... I agree with him completely! Also, the only detail he mentioned is the smell - which, you might recall, he was reacting unfavorably towards. So, really, the fact that he compared the nasty stench of colognes and perfumes to Bavarian Whorehouses seems perfectly legit.

But doesn't the fact that he specifies Bavarian Whorehouses make you curious why he would have intimate knowledge of such businesses, or be able to compare them to similar enterprises in other regions?
