I've pissed people off that way quite a few times - telling jokes with a straight face. And man, that BSN is full of sourpusses. I hear that. I really don't think Clint meant any harm at all in this case. But yeah, it happens. It is very hard to tell over the internet. I've done that too. I suck... Yes, Buch. Yes you do.

Well, there goes the snark again.
I figure out another one. I had this one during my stay in Vietnam.
Diarrhea. I fucking hate it. Not only it's a life threatening situation on if you're not careful. (I've had to check into a hospital in my case.) But also, I had no choice but eat mostly plain rice congee until my departure back to Australia, because that's the only food that won't give me another stomach churning illness.

Sometimes it can be hard to tell the snark from the for real. Especially when it is often *ahem* sparring partners that have the barbs being thrown about.
This thread usually has genuine pet hates on it and that can lead to a bit of confusion if the other site banter leaks in here. That was a long way of saying please remember Poe's Law when posting here.
The BSN is filled with humourless boors talking about entertainment products as if they are a matter of life and death. I ran across a very small number of reasonable people there. The rest can take a swim in the harbour in the dead of winter for all I care.

Went grocery shopping. Spent $200 and I didn't even have a full cart. I distinctly remember a time when $200 would comfortably feed a family of 4 for at least a month.

Grocery shopping is distressingly expensive these days; we managed to do a somewhat affordable run today, but it was a rather sparse cart...

If food gets much more expensive it's gonna be a diet of boot soup for us. The current cost of food makes me laugh my ass off at the "organic food nut" crazies that want to do away with mass farming techniques. Not just for themselves which is their right but for everyone. There would be a worldwide cull of about 75 % inside a year when food quintuples in price.
I'm a good cook, but even i could not make a soup out of a boot.

Still cheaper than fast food all the time. I shouldn't have to do any major grocery trips for at least six weeks or so.

I'm thinking of starting to grow my own veggies when I get my apartment. Just get a good sized planter box or two and have at it. I agree that the organic food douchebags need a reality check; preferably with them farming their own livestock and crops.
