Alright, I can't believe I'm starting a thread like this for 2014, but then again, we haven't got one of those fun forum games in a long while. So let's start. The objective to the game is that if there's anything that is talked about within the games industry, such as news, gossips, memes, hype, etc; that you're bloody sick of hearing over and over again, then state your rant and throw it in the bin. But you have to not mention it again in this thread at least. It can be a personal pet peeve about VG too, but you must not mention it again in this thread, since throwing in the bin is about throwing out the useless crap. Also it would be nice if you make a nice text sound effect of the rant being thrown in the bin. You don't have to, but it would kinda fun and satisfying to feel like you're throwing something into the can. Anyway here's a video that shows how the game was played: And here's the bin: Good luck.

Everything about this game. It's a shame, really, the stuff they showed and talked about before the release of the game was interesting, then it came out and none of those features were actually in there. Instead we got Cloud of Duty.

Angry Birds. Everything about Angry Birds. It wouldn't even bother me that they sell little toy birds for it now and have re-released the same game with slightly different licenced sprites a million times now, if it weren't for the fact that the original Angry Birds is a direct and abhorent ripoff of numerous other, superior cannon /slingshot shooting games that came before it, only with the cartoon birds looking pissed off thing added on the top, which was so clearly and miserably designed by a focus group to whom creativity is the enemy of reliable cash (What do people like? Well accoding to my Facebook wall it's colourful circles, cute animals, and a general self-entitled sense of meek, angry frustration with no particular purpose OKAY ANGRY BIRDS THEN.)

I might actually throw Lego games / films / random, 2-penny DVDs / whatever else they make now in the bin too,for pretty much the same reason. The 'Lego as a game' thing was pretty fun and pleasant, albeit far from spectacular, when they made 'Lego Star Wars'. Now that we're on 'Lego Batman and Justice League or Whatever 12' / 'Random Lego Guy Who is a Cop or Something 5' they're starting to take the piss. I recently saw 'Lego Empire Strikes Back the Movie' on DVD in a supermarket, with a grinning Darth Maul on the cover. Fuck off Lego. Just because something exists doesn't mean you can just put the word 'Lego' in front of it and take another fiver out of the pocket of everyone in the world under 25 who ticked your 'Darth Maul' box in the latest round of market research. And all this is to say nothing of the major feature film I saw trailing before The Hobbit 2 the other week, which appears to be about 'absolutely nothing at all, some guy accomplishes some goal and they are Lego men because... you will all buy things with Lego men, and also Batman is there I guess, Darth Maul unavailable this quarter sadly, eight pounds please'. Jesus Christ, Lego. I AIN'T A PART OF YOUR SYSTEM, LEGO

Also, how did they do LEGO Lord of the Rings when LEGO characters don't have fingers?

People who say that Fallout 3 was better than Fallout: New Vegas. I find it VERY hard to trust them. I'm pretty set on the fact that, while I still enjoy playing Fallout 3 to this day, New Vegas refined the FPS/RPG hybrid formula that F3 had re-imagined the series as. That, and I prefer it for so many other reasons. I don't usually get nerd-ragey about things, but when certain folks say these things about the matter, it gets my blood all boiling: - Saying that they prefer Fallout 3 because it's less complicated. I mean, I know it's a matter of taste, but art thou fucking braindead, jose'? - Saying that Fallout 3's story was better than NV's. No, seriously. These people exist. If you consider a bigass "epic" final battle between a totalitarian remnant faction and an order of tech-worshipers turned peacekeepers and their giant-ass robot to be better storytelling than New Vegas' more subtle Red Harvest/Glass Key style formula, I think you're fucking weird. 'Nuff said. - Complaining about the bugs. I admit, this nitpick may be purely anecdotal/personal, but I really can't recall running into a single game breaking bug anytime I played New Vegas, so to be perfectly honest, I have no idea what these people are talking about. - Complaining about the Mojave being difficult and weird to navigate. I'm endlessly puzzled as to why they enjoyed Fallout 3's goose chases between the metro stations, invisible walls, and the Potomac river. - I've heard some people complaining that it "just didn't feel the same", strongly implying that they had sentimental feelings for Fallout 3. This is pretty hilarious if you remember the godawful and tiresome fanbase in-fighting that happened during F3's development and release, where these very people accused purists or fans of the first two games to be nostalgic for preferring them. And to be fair, here are some reasons I can sympathize with: - Fallout 3's setting feeling more desolate and apocalyptic. I will agree that there was a good deal of appeal around F3 being far more Mad Max than its successor, but when you try to look at the fact that the Fallout mythos has stretched hundreds of years past the date of nuclear war, wouldn't it given the survivors and it's descendants some time to adjust and cooperate rather than continue to be selfish hunter gatherers? New Vegas made more sense in that regard. - I can't disagree with the fact that the Capitol Wasteland had some great locations such as Minefield, The Republic of Dave, Arlington, the DC Mall trenches, and others. Seeing all the locations and attractions in Washington DC and what became of them in the game's setting also yielded some very amusing and special results. - F3 had Liam Neeson and Malcom McDowell. This is difficult to argue with, for sure. - Three Dogg. Mr. New Vegas was awesome, don't get me wrong, but the Dogg's "feel good/keep your head up" personality was just fucking impossible to not like. - Indeed, I strongly agree that Fallout 3's licensed soundtrack was better than New Vegas'. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Hank Williams NV may have had, it still didn't have such warm fuzzy classics like "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire", "Let's Go Sunnin'", and "Way Back Home". And to me, that matters. But yeah, with the latter said, it's still not enough to convince me that New Vegas is somehow inferior to Fallout 3. As a game, New Vegas shines like a set of golden Brotherhood power armor compared to the one before it. And for you thoroughly confusing people who say otherwise, why don't you slamdunk yourself into the garbage while Uncle Cali gets over the headache you gave him. *THUNK*

Honestly, I don't like headaches, since they ruin a good session of gaming. Anything else for the bin? Come on, it's good for the environment at the very least!
