Nobody ever mentions any female turians. I think they keep them in cages.

Maybe all the men and women are segregated. lol no interaction apart from to breed and then quickly part. Like that species on Star Trek. The one Mrs Roddenberry marries in the Deep Space nine series.

In our fanfic, me and Knight try to explain it away. We imply that the society is all sexist and stuff, and that's why you never see any turian women. We have the turian females behaving very subservient, like in Japan.

... They can't ave anymore sub servant females in mass Effect. They've already shoved the Krogan women and Salarians into the realms of bare foot pregnant in the kitchen roles. If the Turians go as well I'm afraid I'm going to have to write a women's liberation movement fan fiction. We'll start with the Krogran women, killing all there males whilst the Salarian's refuse to have sex anymore and the Turian woman burn there face painting kits. Then the Human women will join the fight just for old times sake and take over the citadel council with the help of the asari who know how important it is not to get on a woman's bad side. Yes it will be a magnificent, bloody, lack of sex story with anger and banners god damn it!

Actually I beleive salarian women are regarded extremely highly - they're very rare so the men treat them like queens. Kind of still sexist, actually, but the women are higher-class citizens I think.

The Salarian women aren't allowed to leave the planet or chose who they breed with. They're scene as religious leaders according tot he wiki I read but lack most of the basic free rights. Seems horrible to me.

Originally BioWare was about to impliment turian femals into the ME1 game but due to the limited amout of memory and time, they had to cut it out from the production.
That's why you haven't seen a female turian.

They did in the official forums once. I could find the link for you but wading through BioWare's cluster of mess would take time and effort though

Huh? I'm talking about in the Mass Effect storyline. No females are mentioned. Garrus has no mother for instance.

Which is what leads me to believe that all species apart from Humans and asari for obvious reasons is subjugating there women.

Nihlus' mother is mentioned in the online Codex, I believe... or Sarens, I can't remember.
