Certainly not lol, but some of the choices did pique my interest. Bruce Greenwood as the Illusive Man was one of them. However, I disagree with the choice for Tali. The voice actor for Tali, Liz Sroka, is already a pretty girl and you can't replace her voice. Most of us don't see Tali as a face and because of that we love her voice. Well unless Martin Sheen turns the job down, I would rather see him as TIM. His character model was built around the actor. TIM is not a young guy in universe either being in his late 50s to 60s. He was old enough after all to have gotten caught up in the First Contact War. The "alien" characters who are as much going to be make up and CGI as actors should have the original voice actors picked first where possible. I'm just glad they didn't pick Chris Rock as Anderson or something stupid. CGI would actually be a requirement since the Turians and Quarians have "reversed" knee joints as compared to humans. There isn't a prosthetic in the world that can make that believable for live-action. I just hope they do it right and make it look as "real" as possible.

I was watching Captain America 2 the other day, and I got to thinking, Chris Evans would be a pretty good choice for a male Commander Shepard.
He's the right age, looks good with the buzz cut/stubble thing the default Maleshep has going, and when you stop and think about it, MCU Cap is actually a pretty similar character to Paragon Shepard. Plus it's only a few years until they kill him off and replace him with Bucky.

No. Chris Evans is cool, but No, you cannot be Captain America, Johnny Storm AND Commander Shepard.

Why not Clint? Is it because he has played enough heroic types already. Honestly, there are plenty of actors that have basically made a career of playing the exact same re-skinned character over and over and no one complained then. Then you have John Wayne or Russel Crowe who mostly played themselves.

If it's possible to agree with both, I do. Chris Evans would probably be very good in the role - a little bland maybe? He'd be great.
But I agree you can't be Captain America and Commander Shepard - I wouldn't be able to handle it.
Then again, Harrison Ford is Han Solo and Indiana Jones....... confused.

I'm also kind of holding out hope they'll make a Mass Effect film like the Clue DVD or the Calculon film from Futurama, where the audience gets to decide who Shepard commits genocide on and who they bang at the end.
Also, David Hyde Pearce for Mordin/Kirrahee/The Salarian Council guy. As Mock Effect said, the entire Salarian race was basically based on Niles.

David Hyde Pierce was born to play Mordin. And also Niles.
But then Mordin was already voiced perfectly by the two original actors. Getting the Mordin feels again, man...

I don't love Crowe or Wayne's consistent roles either. I'm more tolerant of Wayne than Crowe, but all the same I only really like about a 3rd of his stuff. As for Evans, I like him well enough, but I always imagined Shepard with a little more ... earthiness. Evans is too perfect and too babyface, even for paragon Shepard. Now Richard Armitage (presently playing Thorin) I could see him doing it alright.

Now that's a point I can get behind. Maybe you were saying that before as well, but it looked more like you were just saying that Evan's plays the hero too much so he needs to take a break or something.

I think there should be at least one actor cast that's not faithful in appearance or personality, in keeping with the usual tropes regarding video game and comic book movies. I was thinking Rip Torn should play Donnel Udina, hamming up every scene he's in, drinking coffee and cracking rimshot comic relief jokes, making Shepard and Anderson stare at him and each other uncomfortably.

Rip Torn would make one hell an an Illusive Man wouldn't he?

I kinda want Christopher Walken as TIM now.

If we are not looking for a movie that takes itself too serious...Christopher Walken as TIM would be fairly awesome.
