Adblock won't save you if you use facebook. Liking pages and linking anything to your account there feeds any info you place in there about yourself to all of companies that facebook uses to make it's bacon. The degree to which that application destroys user privacy with their blessing is appalling. Meh, I'm not as worried by the data gathering. By facebook or the other companies. They're not going to stop even if ordered to by the supreme court (AKA, they'd find a loophole), so I stopped worrying about it. What I was referring to with Adblock was the person in Chantress' article specifically, who had ads come up nailing a secret he thought was safe. I don't have ads. Thus no secrets surprising me.

The ad was in the guy's news feed. No blocking that with adblock...

Ewww!
Just... ew...
I love Poutine, and I love Jones Soda - and the closest the two should come together is using Jones Soda as the drink while enjoying a nice seperate plate of Poutine...
But Poutine flavoured soda? ICK!!

And now for something completely different. That's right guys, the creators and of keyboard cat and nyan cat are suing WB for copyright infringement. Even more hilariously, they have a case. And ironically WB is getting hit with it's own stick for once. Never thought that those 2 abominations would provide me with this much amusement.

games.yahoo.com/blogs/plugged-in/video-game-starship-worth-9-000-destroyed-ambush-190533986.htmlThis is why I don't play EVE Online. It may to too much to hope for, but I hope there was a massive digital spectacle of an explosions that made it worth happening, like an entire light show of kabooms and meticulously designed bingity-bams. Added on will be a huge 45 minute cutscene that played that featured the player character's childhood, directed by Terrance Malick and with a musical score by Danny Elfman, and a large exorbitant amount of funeral vessels come to the site you were killed. And in real life, champagne, pizza and prostitutes were sent to the player's house.

Wow.
I don't know if that is a simulation of how an actual conflict would pan out or simply a pack of punks trolling another player. But EVE does seem to be a play to win game so I am not terribly interested in picking it up. Star Trek Online at least gives me a shot at being useful without dropping real money at a digital store.

Can you imagine the conversation with the hooker?
"I'm really upset today." "Why?" "A bunch of losers ambushed me and blew up my ship." "You're a sailor then...?" "Err... not exactly."
