Well, I literally just played through it. My impressions?
It was okay. It was nice to finally have a DLC package for any ME that actually had your squadmates talk rather than sit there doing absolutely nothing at all, and the underwater bit was especially great and incredibly atmospheric. There was also some nice build-up to it, and the ultimate reveal did end up reaffirming my belief that the Crucible is essentially the Hal-9000 of the ME galaxy, and it helped to soften that particular blow. It also makes So there's that, though it does make me wonder how the flying fuck those guys managed to travel around in space.
But on the other hand... For me, it felt a bit lacking gameplay-wise. The levels that were featured prominently were almost too short for comfort, though the cliff set piece was nice. And for me, I still think they should've left the Reapers unexplained. There's a new Lovecraftian element, but it gets kind of dampened by the fact that, when you really think about it, the Lovecraft race featured at the end is really kind of a pack of pussies.
So I dunno. It was okay, I guess. Not terrible, but not great either.

Sadly I was never able to work up any excitement for this at all.
I might not bother with this one.
Too bad we can't get the whole game at once anymore...

Too bad we can't get the whole game at once anymore... I hear that. That all began with Jade Empire, if you ask me (at least as far as Bioware is concerned). The hero's signature weapon and costume cost extra.

Played it myself, and I liked it. I agree with Herro about the length of some missions. My favourite was the Asteroid base because i had many flashbacks to the Sprawl there from Dead Space. I also liked the underwater bit and how your LI is worried the entire time.
