I'm actually in love with Keith David, so for that reason he has to be in it.

Milla Jokovich and Eliza Dushku are horrible actors, Lily, and I think you should see a doctor about this. And as I stated earlier, Milla Jovovich is hot. Stunning. * fans self with a photo of Milla* And pretty kick-ass in the Resident Evil movies... Well, Enver Gjokaj played Anthony / Victor in Dollhouse, and was awesome in that role... and Jesse L Martin was Tom Collins in RENT... and just breaks my heart every time he opens his mouth to sing... *swoons*. I would also suggest Keith David as Captain Anderson. Okay. I am deeply ashamed to admit I did not know who Keith David was before I looked him up on Wikipedia after seeing your comment - and I agree with you, he would be perfect - he is Captain Anderson, and has both the voice and the look to continue the role in a movie role if one was to be made. *beat* Sorry, Jesse Martin. ... ... You're still awesome. I completely agree with you about Milla. Can't act her way out of a cardboard box, but my my my...*drools unashamedly* And oh my lord in heaven, Jesse Martin. He has such a perfect velvety voice. Are you a RENThead too, Lily?! ;D But Keith David makes that decision mighty difficult. Anyway, I don't see a movie ever being made because the point of the game is to make your own choices. Although the setting and plot are plenty worthy of a movie, the moviemakers would be pissing off thousands of fans with literally every miniscule decision they would make. It's fun to think about it, though!

I have the movie version and the Final Show on Broadway both on DVD... and I have the soundtrack... and I am sickened by the fact that I never got to see it performed live But as for Jesse Martin, his voice is unspeakably beautiful. I love to watch him sing in RENT, since his soul just comes pouring out - and when he sings the Reprise to "I'll Cover You" at Angel's service, I can never sing along because I'm crying too hard... and seeing him and Wilson Jermaine Heredia / Angel sing the main version of "I'll Cover You" is so sweet... ;D I love RENT - it's my most favorite musical... followed by Les Miserables, then Phantom of the Opera, then CATS... etc., etc.

Sounds like I should watch 'Rent'. I'm a little shocked that you haven't Buch. It's one of those love it or hate it things but I think it would be up your alley.

Sounds like I should watch 'Rent'. Oh, Mister Buch... RENT is beautiful. I think you'd like it... and the cast all have such beautiful voices - and the songs are just heart-breaking... and heart-warming, too... I can't say enough good things about RENT... Both the Stage version and the Movie version are awesome, but the movie version directed by Chris Columbus has most of the original cast from when Jonathan Larson was alive and was first putting RENT out there 16 years ago... even though the movie was filmed 10 years after the original, and the actors were 10 years older and yet looked just like they had 10 years before - it was like the gods wanted these actors who originated the roles to immortalize them on screen... there were only two re-castings for the movie version, and the new cast-mates (who played Mimi and Joanne) are amazing performers who both managed to make me cry with their heart-wrenching performances... I'm starting to think it's time for me to watch RENT again... ;D

It is pretty good. You can listen to the OBC recording on YouTube. I had no idea that guy was Collins, though. I think he was my favourite character!

Jesse L Martin was the original Collins, and I broke down crying when watching a Behind-the-Scenes thing on my DVD where someone (it might even have been Martin himself) said that on opening night, when the cast sang the show through rather than actually acting it (it was the night after Jonathan Larson died), Jesse Martin was singing the "I'll Cover You" reprise as much to Jonathan himself as he was singing it to the character of Angel... I find that very indicative of just how strong the friendship between Jonathan and the original cast was... And oh, dear me, I'm weeping now... RENT just does that to me... *sniffles*

Oh my god oh my god. Someone who understands. RENT is probably the soundtrack to my adolescence. Every day after my freshman year of high school, I would come home and listen to the entire soundtrack. It was sort of a religious experience. Maureen still remains one of my dream roles (and Idina Menzel one of my idols). For one of our graduation events, my best friend and I sang "Without You." I just love that show so much for so many reasons. And I also ADORE Les Mis, Phantom, Sweeney Todd (which I just finished up being in), Spring Awakening, etc....Lily, I think I may need to make a 'favorite musicals' thread so we can geek out, haha! Buch, I will say that I find some aspects of the movie contrived and stylized...and the show is already so full of bohemian tropes that stylizing them almost makes it into a caricature at times...but it's full of talented, veteran performers and well-written songs.

lol, I'm terrible at this but here it goes I think Femshep would be something like G.I. Jane by Demi Moore... but maybe better as Jack. I think DiCaprio could pull off the Illusive Man. Vin Diesel as Vega (though I think it would be quite a challange for him to act as anyone else but himself) Timothy Dalton as Hackett... I think i got this one spot on. But anyway, we know a movie or a series would be crap. Anime would be better, but still not as great. I prefer it stayed CGI the way it is
