I forgot to mention - I watched the movie and I thought it was suprisngly good!
Not great (for some reason Vega is ultra-serious and never cracks a smile) but good!

Not sure..... probably. But aside from that it feels VERY Mass Effect. There is an emphasis on paragon versus renegade (James is so stone-faced because he's a die hard paragon and Shepard enthusiast) and on 'hard decisions'.
If you've played the sparring match with Vega in the game then you know what the plot to this thing is - Vega protects a colony which is attacked by Collectors, and has to make a hard decision which doesn't really pay off. (Which is actually quite heart-wrenching, and why I liked the movie).
I would assume that this was recorded *before* they made the game, so Freddie Prinze would have finished the movie, headed over to Bioware, given a few takes of his opening lines and then the Bioware guys were like, "This time try it a little lighter and more jokey!" At which point Prinze would have been like, "Uh-oh..." xD

To be honest I think with shepard he is a bit more relaxed when shit goes down while on Fehl Prime he was probably bricking himself.

I guess, but I'm sure that wasn't the intent. James is like a completely different person in the game.
