Double post, but come to think of it... there's a reason why I prefer to write over drawing in terms of fan fics.
Drawing takes a bit more effort and time, than writing a fan fic in literature form. I don't mean the cut and paste cheat. I mean drawing the stuff properly most of the time. Ah wells. At least I won't be called out for the cut and paste thing for the most part like that artist who did " How I become yours".
And yes I've made up my mind that I'll add the proper pretty stuff like effects and rendering in a nice painting style of sorts. Just to rub into the official comics and I'm interested to see the ME universe in an artistic look and feel.

I think we all need to play and beat Mass Effect 3 to get a better cutting board for our fics. I've sort of paused Cyan Steel because of it.

I need to watch more Firefly to get The Gunslinger back on track!

Hmm. I don't know how this factors into the Mass Effect universe. I know Earth is still divided into nations but the idea just radiates Call of Duty-ness.
Have you read Cyan Steel? They play a pretty big part in chapters 20-24, man.

I think we all need to play and beat Mass Effect 3 to get a better cutting board for our fics. I've sort of paused Cyan Steel because of it. Same for me here, this is why I've started the Paragons comic in some backwater turian colony, where it doesn't contradict the canon in the aftermath of ME3. Even then I'm forced to take it slow... in theory if it weren't my artskills were kinda unfit in the athletics for artists, like... drawing slightly a bit too slow for my own good. And that's the line art stuff. Hopefully the speed of my drawing hand would be just right before the ME3 release and stuff. And I still need to continue reading Cyan Steel. Last I've read it, I've enjoyed it. A refreshing change from the usual soap opera crap I had to deal with at times in the ff.net. Also, considering the history of the conflict in the Paragons comic, I feel tempted to write a fan fic based on the history of the Hierarchy and their decline in military prowess and their society in general. Like the power conflict within the government that is similar to the Roman Republic Civil War while Julius Caesar was in power at the time and having that said story about the War on Taetius from the CDN connected to it.

I'm restarting that Fantasy Steampunk Story. The one with Dragons. I'm thinking about making reincarnation theme, where the main protagonist questions if it's possible that the current incarnation LI would remember their past. So basically it's a philosophy about life, death, love and more importantly, memories.
I hope this project turns out well... actually it might be possible if I work hard enough. Hopefully.
Well wish me luck on this one.

You could go AU. not only it's easier but it one of a few ways to tell where BioWare to screw themselves with the "canon" ending. Or if you're really feeling burnt, I suggest you take a break and do something relaxing for a while.
Which is what I'm doing with my comic project. I'm kinda burnt enough that I've been doing a lot of cut and dry things in the late like reading boring academical notes on game design, just to get this ending off my mind and stuff.

I hear you. I'm still feeling bummed by the endings. I hate it too.

Atm, I'm sitting down and waiting my for mail that contains the Shadowrun 4th edition. Not only it will be my main source for my Dragon project, but I'm thinking about making a Pen and Paper RPG version of the Mass Effect verse, just to have my mates acting like fools and hamming up in my local games shop on Thursday and Friday nights.

Who's in for an April 100words Mass Effect themed batch? I'm actually thinking of it as it some kind of therapy. We could write about all the things we loved and wished to explore in the game.

I'm game, if I can write in the perspective of an OC character for a while.
Speaking of which. I'm mapping out the story for Paragons. Since not only the game change most of the core elements in the story, but also the original drive of the story. Hence I have to map it out in a flowchart to get things clear, leaving inside the head can get a bit messy and tired my brain out too quickly. Besides it helps me not to forget things. It's different now than what I have originally intended, but the complexity and the theme of man's nature still remains... I think.

Honestly, the last month of my life has been solid talking about Mass Effect 3. I think I've said everything I want to say twice. I would be interested to read these, though. And if you're doing 100 Words for April, I might do it anyway and just write unrelated fiction.

Honestly, the last month of my life has been solid talking about Mass Effect 3 That's why the next month of your life should be solid writing about Mock Effect 3.

lol. I was thinking about that, this morning. I do sometimes feel a fool for not carrying 'Mock Effect' on, but I just know it wouldn't have been as good. You know those sitcoms that get crap in their fourth season? It would have been like that. It would have been like Ghostbusters 2.
And I think Mass Effect 3 will be even harder to spoof than Mass Effect 2 - I chickened out at that!

I know what you mean. But perhaps now that all three games are out, it's not going to be like sitcom season Nr.I-lost-count. It could be more concise than the first Mock Effect, too. IDK - your call. I'm just throwing the suggestion - you know, all subtly, like a throwing axe.
