I just had a really disturbing nightmare where I was walking around Cumbria, then I saw someone lynched and made into sausages right in a village square.
Reason No. 208302 not to go back to sleep.

Dare I ask what you consumed just prior to sleeping that may have inspired that?

I dreamed I got yelled at in a bookstore for reading. It wasn't even a bookstore I remember being in!

Two days ago I had a dream that I was sent a message to come to some meeting room in what I think was a university or an office building. Inside I arrived, to find six white supremacist nazis (two which were attractive women, and only one looking like a stereotypical skinhead) telling me that I was the top candidate for joining their order.
I declined, which lead to them being after me, ultimately resulting in a showdown involving a skyscraper and a helicopter.
I'm still trying to figure out what in the blazes that dream meant. The fact that I was first on their list for joining their freaking nazi circlejerk rather irks me.

I actually had a dream which ended with a 'to be continued'. It never picked up again after that.....bloody cliffhangers.

Bumping this dreams thread to mention that ever since playing ME3, I dream about it every night. Mostly I get news of some new ending and get to see what it's like. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. (Last night everybody died very unambiguously.) I need my life back. Remind me to tell you about the time I was a not-so-mighty Viking in one of my dreams.

You're not the only one there Lieden. I've been suffering from night terrors after seeing the ME3 ending.
Coupled with my worries about uni, Obsidian and my prospect about getting hired as a concept artist in a nice workplace, instead of somewhere soul crushing like BioWare/EA... then you get this. Let's just say my mum didn't sleep well with my constant screams in the middle of the night.
It's pathetic I know. I've been trying to man up but I'm not fighting against them too well.

Oh my. That sounds pretty bad. Sorry to hear of it. I don't know if that helps at all, but what I try to do with similar worrisome and stress-inducing situations is do the best that I can and focus on that. (I also try to help other people with their own stuff: that's my #1 weapon in the anti-depression arsenal. ) I'm actually having tremendous fun with my Mass Effect dreams, I'm just a bit weirded out by the fact they recur so persistently all these days.

Speaking of weird and wacky dreams, I actually had a dream once a few years ago (maybe 4 years ago? I can't remember when - it was soon after I discovered the joys of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion). In this dream, I was being chased through a field by a small army of Dremora Lords... and I had lost my enchanted sword, and was utterly helpless to fight them... and the gods only know why, but the next thing that happened was that I came to the edge of a large, dark forest, and a mighty army of - get this - TEDDY BEARS! In DAEDRIC ARMOUR! Wielding Daedric weapons... came out and fought the Dremora for me... I woke up laughing my arse off...
And it made me wonder, is playing video games right before going to bed a bad thing? Or does it simply make for interesting dreams?
Edit: corrected a rather glaring spelling error. Bad bad me.
