I saw that update, and it piqued my interest. I'll take a look at this now.

I've been reading the Anima Chronicles last night. I do admit it was confusing for me at times, especially some of the proses but overall it's a good read if you look at the stand alone point of view. When I mean point of view, try not to think the canon too hard.
EDIT: Oh, I see what you mean, the crossover elements. Well for it's own merits, it's not bad.

Striking the balance between staying true to established characters and telling your own story is hard for any fanfic writer, but especially hard in crossovers due to the clashing lore. Establishing where one world ends and another begins is very challenging. One thing Ive tried to do is own the characters, not try and change them of course, but alter them slightly to fit my voice.
btw: Ive never really had anyone comment on my fanfic, either here or on fanfiction.net, so i really am dying to know what part was confusing and why, (I'm really trying to improve, and any input is appreciated) and if my prose makes it too difficult to read.

Your prose is fine, they are quite good, I've should have meant clearly about one of the sections in chapter 3, where the Klausian described about his weapon inventory when confronting Jill. It made me pondered why he needs to explain about it to her. Is it intimidation or exposition? I'll write up a review in the other thread.

The classing lore part is one of the main hurdles when it comes to writing. It's hard to mix and meld those together, especially if those mix and match were... strange at times.

This is great, the writing in the beginning is just how id imagine Jack's stream of conscious would go, i like the strange duality of love/hate. And whatever the commentators may say i think making a crossover seamless makes it less hokey and obvious, and thus better fan ficition.

Thank you. I do enjoy writing Jack.
A very good writer who made the comment about wanting it to be more of a "fish out of water" story was simply talking about the other kind of crossover--the "universe A meets universe B" kind, which is the only kind I knew about until I came up with that story (and heard you guys talk about it in this thread.)
I still kinda want to write The First Twi'lek Spectre. XD

What makes most crossovers bad in my opinion it is all based on the novelty of universe A clashing with universe B, and when that novelty wears off there isn't enough to prop the story up. That's why i like to make sure that newness, that novelty is present, but most certainly not the main focus, otherwise its only a matter of time before it falls out from under you. I much prefer the seamless 'it's always been like this' alternate universe kind of approach.
