Btw, while you're deciding to read on the fine points of writing, don't forget like every other author have said before: write, write and write. It's nice to look through the techniques again but it's easier said than done when it comes to terms in writing. Good advice. At the moment I feel like I need to improve, and I haven't written anything in a while, let alone anything I like. So I need a refresher.

UPDATE: -Make a new link, added to the list
----
ok, time for another serious talk/discussion/rant/whatever.
While I was looking through the links from a website the recommended the places to improve your writting skills, I've stumble across this:
Yes, it's a link to writing a good 'romantic' scenes in fictions, especially slash. So far I'm still reading through but once I'm done I'll get back to it, I talk about the details further.
However, that doesn't stopped me from discussing about it. The growth of people join here is slow but it's steady. Sooner or later the population of the members are big enough that there will be a small niche writers that might like to write slash *shudder*. I know, I know; It's a horrible thought and atm the members here are not the type who enjoy such things. Still I've found this link here that discuss some tips on writing so it didn't looked likea badly written lemon piece.
So the question is: Is it appropriate to link this here?
I'll let the other members decide, especially with Rascarin. I can't exactly put it on the list until everyone is approved of it...
Edit: Let me finish it first then I'll talk about it... I didn't know it was That explicted... I've took the link out for the sake of other people safty and not making myself looking like a fool... >.<
Double Edit: Don't bother, forget what I've said. It's to specific with it. I was hoping a more general technique nope, it's not worth it to put it on the list.

Sorry if I've acted like a total fool before, I've thought it's a site to writing techniques... not about sexual techniques *ahem*
Sorry about it... god I feel just as bad as those girly teen brats who are obsessed with that topic -_-

I did have a quick look at the site while the link was there, and it was creeeepy, but fascinating. Fear not - there's no foolishness in sharing knowledge.
Oddest of all was a portion of the site where the guy (I'm guessing it was a guy) offers to actually attempt the positions and stuff you describe in your slash fic. I clicked and it said, 'Sadly this service is no longer available.'

I've always been awful at writing romance scenes. I'm far more of a unspoken love person. All that roses and kisses stuff just makes me sick to write. Any techniques would be greatly appreciated. Oh I wrote a porno for a friend once. It was his birthday and I asked him what he wanted and he said "I dunno write me a story where I'm sexy." So he got this 50 page adventure story where he starred as an accountant turned special agent and shagged everything he came across. Just to make him laugh though I made sure he always got interrupted half way through a love scene. I'm trying to remember if I have ever actually written a romance... I don't think I can consider any of them romances. Ok, I'm going to write a romance! Uh... maybe I should do a Mass Effetc one just so I can post it here. No Shepard Kaiden crap though. What about Executor Pallin and an amazonian mercenary woman? I'll ponder...

I still don't get the turian freak on, really. I don't care if Garrus has a really sexy voice, I just don't get it.
Romances, I'm still deciding if I should write a romance fanfic or not.
Ah well time decides.

Turians are kinda scarying looking with all that tin foil and pointy teeth going on. Personally I dislike the Asari the most though. Something underlaying and sexist about them. Everything is so minutely wrong with them it just keeping nipping at my heels like a drunken puppy. If you're gonna enjoy some inter-species freak on lets roll with the Krogan.

Oddly enough, I prefer Turians to Asari. I think it's because the asari have no ears. Thats just wrong.
