Well I just wan tto get to the three wives thing, Mart and Perin having their own storylines and cast and maybe some awesome battles a la LOTR. Maybe some botakudunk to, but i doubt Jordon will go into that much detail like Martin did. Gotta wait long for those things? when you did stop reading?

"Winter's Heart" was the last one I read. Or maybe Path of Daggers. I can't remember.
I was getting pissed with how it was starting to drag out starting at Lord Of Chaos though. Frankly it was losing steam at "The Fires of Heaven" for me.
<at and Perrin start having their own stories branch out as early as the third book. more fleshed out in teh forth which for me was the high point of the series before Jordan started smelling money and ground the plot to a halt to milk it for more.

More like Gambit.
Compulsive gambler, wicked streak of luck and yes, he even fights magnificently well with a staff.

They will magically appear in the third book with no prior lead up. At over 1000 pages by that point you would think he would have mentioned something before hand...

True, I mean in Fellowship I introduced the fact that Gorvar is versed in gun play by flashbacks and what not so it isnt to hard to say how he got good at stick fighting. I prefer he stuck with the bow though, Perin still uses his axe and Rhand has the magic sword thing going for him. Still lvoe him a sa character though, i love the trickster good guy characters. Kinda Han Solo-esque.

I'm going back through William Gibson's "Neuromancer" series. One of the best sci-fi series ever.

All three of them are "chosen ones." Not really a bad thing but it did make for a lot more plot threads to tie up.

I can't remember jhis name but I love that guy. Do NOT, I repeat, NOT, piss him off or disrespect trees in his presence though. For that matter don't mess up books either.

Loial yeah. I always thought they were all wusses though, on the same level as those traveling hippies they met in book 1. Dont get me wrong if anything i would be just like him if i were in that world and the dude has balls to be basiacly a run away for his age. One thing i loved bout book 2 is the alternative universe thing, that was SO hype. Also the antagonists in book 2 REALLY reminded me of the Qunari in Dragon Age...and the place where the Trolloks come from really reminds me of the Anderfels. and the traveling hippies remind me of the Dalish....Okay if an ancient order of warrior monks pop up, i'm dropping this series.
Question though, since i'm a pig and all, but when does Rhand shag his first girl? Is it this book or the next? I'm just curious. I know Perrin meets his girl in this one and marries her in the next one. Also i noticed the theme of muttering....they always mutter.
