If the ratings drop too low, they should just have Terry come through a time portal and kick everyone's ass.

I'm for any scenario where Terry McGuiness shows up! Seriously, dude is waaay to underrated and should be comparable to Bats or at least Nightwing. Also his suit is cool, yo.

A lot of people are speculating the Arkham Knight is some sort of early attempt at cloning Bruce Wayne and there have been a few hints in the Rocksteady Arkham games about a Batman Beyond/Return of the Joker type thing happening. I would love a game in the style of the Arkhamverse, but with Batman Beyond. It would kind of make sense, what with the Arkhamverse basically being a grittier version of B:TAS and Kevin Conroy voicing Batman.
Just imagining an open-world Neo-Gotham gets me hype.

But on the subject of Gotham itself:
I hate, hate, hate Gordon's home life. The whole "living in his girlfriend's amazing clocktower penthouse apartment" just seems wrong for Gordon. And the Barbara character is so annoying and pointless she makes characters like Laurel Lance and Lori Grimes seem likeable. "You need to tell me the details of your confidential police work or this relationship is through, Jim!". Also the forced bisexuality that seems to exist to A. create drama and B. Because we obviously needed to know Montoya was a lesbian right away, instead of it just coming up at a later and more natural point.
I also liked how this episode was titled "Arkham", in a way that might entice fans of the Arkham games, or any of the comics featuring Arkham Asylum, to watch it, despite the asylum only tangentially figuring into the plot.
I hope they eventually drop the case-of-the-week aspect as well. Presumably if Gordon ever gets promoted up into command, they could focus more on the overarching plot than that. Plus, with the mob war, Bruce and Gordon's stuff, it seems like there's plenty of story to cover. Justified and Hannibal both lessened up on this stuff as they went on, and got better for it.

Also, Gotham would be at least 100% better if it was just The Penguin Show.

PRETTY MUCH!
Tbh I did like how Arham Asylum (and the future Arkham City) made a cameo. I really hope they delve into Amadeus Arkham's story because...that shit is wacked! Jungian nightmare! I also agree that Barbara shouldn't be there. I guess the conflict has to be there for the house waifu demographic or some shit...but this is Gotham! Batman fans are prolly the only folks watching this! She knows Gordon is a cop in the most corrupt police force in N-America, she knew what she was getting in to! Deffo after she told one of his secrets seconds after he told her, RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. Hell if this was any other guy on the froce she would've been slapped or in worst case scenareo by sleeping with the fishes. For my two cents let them break up and bring in Sarah Essen. Throw things for a loop, at least bring in a female character that can kick ass and be a more reliable supporting character to Jim! Besides for Bullock (who even has his limits), Gordon is doing this solo since the other characters like Selina or Cobblepot are unreliable at best. Maybe that is the theme of the show but even in "Batman Year: One" Gordon at least had Merkel and Essen to back him up.
Also good thing you mentioned the clockwork apartment thing (I love Gotham architecture, so Gothic!) because...weren't Gordon and Barbara in "Batman Year: One" middle class? The fact Jim is getting together with someone WAY above him don't make no sense. Maybe it's because in this universe he is a Gothamite instead of Chicago so it explains it..i think?
This show is pretty much "Rise of Oswald Cobblepot" and I love it. I loved how when he disposed of his goons he was actually black and purple, his signature colours. Cant wait to see him wear the tophat, cane and monocle at the end of this season as he makes Fish Moon sleep with...the fishes (badum-tish) and does his signature cackle.
I to would dig a Batman Beyond game. Flying around like Batman, flying batmobile not really required, in Neo Gotham. Using stealth a la the Predator while Bruce takes the part from Oracle/Alfred and guides you through the missions. Maybe it can be like those Spidey Games where you played as Spider-Man 2099. I think that is the ebst comparison i can make really.

This week's Gotham.
Bruce should buy himself a computer for his detective work. Penguin slips over the ice but gets back up. The origins of VENOM. More gang war coming stuff. Bedroom shenanigans to make Will Smith jelly. Donal Logue is still awesome.

I got a laugh at the show's demonstrative hypocrisy (AKA, showing us Jim's character flaw with a spotlight and saying HERE IT IS!) where he blatantly lies to Barbara then gets mad at her for ... LYING to him. I mean, it's only logical, given her past actions with confidential information, but he doesn't refer to that. He just clams up. Imbecile.

I actually liked that episode. The Penguin/Gordon/Maroni stuff was good, the Viper storyline was endearingly stupid in a comic-book way (especially that scene where the elderly uni professor huffs it and Gordon and Bullock shoot him dead.) Also no Barbara. And Nygma didn't tell any riddles. Maybe the writers are learning restraint?
Also, Tommy Elliot has been confirmed and Morena Baccarin is gonna play Leslie Thompkins. I'm hype for that.

Also, I hope Falcone brings Firefly in to deal with Fish Mooney during the mob war. How awesome would it be, John Doman working with another Burned Man?
That, or Dominic West should play Alberto Falcone.
"These are for you, Alberto!"

This week on Gotham.
1: Harvey Bullock does a Hartigan from Sin City and we grow to like this corrupt cop guy. 2: Donal Logue is friggin' awesome. 3: Not much gang war stuff, shame. 4: The idea of bodyguards is severely underused. 5: Penguin Ex Machina. 6: I'm watching this show for Donal Logue now. 7: Character development for Edward Nigma...and another big easteregg right in your face. 8: Jada Plinket Smith is in the credits yet does not appear in this episode. 9: More Barbara...yuck. 10: Anyone else thinks the killer of the week looks a LITTLE bit similar to a caped crusader we know? 11: Rewatching Vikings and Grounded for Life to get my Logue-fix till next week. 12: Slight eudipal complex here for Penguin...

Does anyone think the Penguin character is homophobic?
He's an effeminate, well-dressed weakling, which basically confirms that he's gay, and he also happens to be a criminal.
As a gay guy, I find that pretty predjudiced.

He's also a brilliant prognosticator who just HAS to narrate the opening to every episode.
If you were going to take offense to anything, take offense that said character is a murderous son of a bird...
