Mister Buch, most of my response to you was in reference to things you posted before you made your edit and deleted a lot of what you said.
So, I apologise for... 'misreading' (or maybe misremembering?).
Again, I was not accusing you of starting a fight, nor was I trying to start one.
And now I'll back off from this... debate.
Though I will not stop talking about Harry Potter, as long as there are other people who share my enjoyment of the books and wish to discuss... ;D I welcome such discussions, people, I do love talking about Harry Potter! ;D
Though at the risk of sounding snippy here, in my original response to your original post regarding what you disliked about the books (that you didn't actually read by your own admission), I was only trying to correct a few misconceptions. I was not trying to imply that you had to read the books, especially if you simply don't like the writing style or the story (which I can, objectively, understand).

I really do think we've misunderstood each other badly here. But I'm leaving. Sorry.

I really don't know what happened here but I would love it if we could get back on topic...that being Clint trying to get reference ideas for Mock Effect 3...
...and hopefully finding a way to bury the hatchet, hopefully not in each other's skulls.

I really don't know what happened here but I would love it if we could get back on topic...that being Clint trying to get reference ideas for Mock Effect 3... But... what about those of us who actually really like Harry Potter and want a place to have Harry Potter-related discussions that might go beyond Clint's request for references? *pouts hopefully*

*dodges the curses thrown by Clint, who either just tried to kill the people in this thread or does not realize Avada Kedavra is the killing curse*
Umm... Clint? I did not realise keeping the thread active would be considered grounds to try to kill us???

So what effect does "other bastardized phraseology" have? I'm not familiar with that one.

JK, it makes you speak French... LOL
Lily - I included it because it was a funny movie with a potter theme. You have my permission to continue living. (AKA, I was kidding)

*invokes Poe's Law* Oh, why golly gee, thanks so much, so glad to know I've your express permission to keep on living! *rolls eyes sarcastically*
By the way, I was referring to the curse itself, not the movie clip I did not watch.
Also, I apologise for trying to continue the apparently funny string of comments you'd started by responding to your comment.
*sigh*

*invokes law of the oblivious* You're welcome. No harm done.
*Ducks back out of thread before Lily dunks him in polyjuice potion*

I would never dunk you in Polyjuice potion. What would be the point of changing someone's appearance when the personality stays the same? Anyway, changing direction now. Anyone else who wants to discuss Harry Potter in an actual serious discussion, I'd love that - I don't often meet very many HP fans who like it as much as I do. I also promise not to get snarky unless deliberately (or obliviously / naively) provoked. ;D

The last book I've read was probably "Order of the Phoenix". I was pretty sadden to see that certain person in that said book go, he's one of my favourite characters and does helped a little in the movie that he's played by Gary Oldman.
I think that's one of the reasons why I've kinda stopped reading. And also I'm sick of haggling books from the school library's waiting list back then, thus there's a few things I've missed out on.
Still, that whole world building in HP was great, pretty interesting at the time and that's one of the few reasons why I'm hooked on those book as a kid.
