*sigh* I once again present proof that the music industry is out of it's mind.

*sigh* I once again present proof that the music industry is out of it's mind. That's been true for longer than I've been alive. But the music industry cannot be blamed for this. Rebecca Black like her male twin Bieber exists solely because of Youtube. If it was not for the cheapness and ease at which anyone anywhere can post content they would not exist. So let's place blame where blame is due.

I just typed the words 'My review of the new Rebecca Black record' into a computer. What the hell is wrong with me.
I like how the lyrics to this one seem to just be 'Fuck you, internet' - seems like a nice move. But yeah, it's forgettable. Dare I say I'm kinda getting bored of the Black thing, probably because they took the song off youtube. But - Dylan version made me chuckle!

A song constructed out of disdain for those mean and extremely dangerous internet commenters.
Also:
Sad to see that the good old Skynyrd has gone from Mr. Saturday Night Special to being the right wing response to Green Day. Still, I kind of like the country twanginess of it.
The comments make it even worse though.
-OHWolves1698, on being both racist and ironic
-Nancy31711, claiming that she (he?) was banned from the internet by the government and still manages to post the comment.
-Mr1dillon, not recalling that the majority of military funeral picketing is done by hardcore right wing fundies.
-OHWolves1698 again, forgetting money for food and the gas for his Mustang GT.
-fbman78, several years after he slept through history class when they were talking about the Civil War, Kessarine Pass, Operation Market Garden, and the Korean War.

I listened and listened and listened and I could not find a trace of irony in that song. That's just sad. Ah well there is plenty of lefty music out there so there is bound to be some redneck rock as well.
Sad part was I thought at first it was a cover of this.
But Gowan is a much better musician anyway.

On the subject of political views and music, I've been told countless times that I'm "not allowed" to listen to thrash metal, Megadeth in particular, because I happen to have some slight conservative leanings. (Don't believe in big government, for example.) Of course the people who talk that kind of shit are ignorant teenagers who think Che Guevera was a saint...

I haven't seen a preppy lefty stupid enough to wear a Che T-shirt in some time. I used to snicker every time I saw some bleeding heart type with that imagery because if they anything about that butcher they'd puke.

The really funny thing is, people try to pigeon-hole me as being uber-conservative because I happen to be a firearms enthusiast, among other things. Truth be told, I'm all for progress, but I have a "proceed with caution" mindset.
This is pretty off topic, but back in high school the local Gay Straight Alliance got fired up over a gay marriage bill that was in the state legislature. Now I try to stay out of discussions like that since I'm of the live and let live mindset for the most part. But they kept pestering me for my opinion so I gave it to them. "Gays want to get married? More power to them. But I'm confused about one thing. If two gays are married, how the hell do they figure out who is sleeping on the couch when they have a fight?"
Ironically, the gays thought the question was hilarous while the straights wanted to lynch my scrawny ass.

I'm certain that confusion is balanced by the lack of argument about what to do with the toilet seat.

I don't mind "My Moment". I can't help but see it as the "u mad?" to the trolling that was "Friday".
And it isn't close to being as bad as Cher Lloyd's "Swagger Jagger", which I'm not going to link because I would actually have to open the page and risk hearing a couple of seconds of it before I could pause it. It's so bad. So, so bad. Google if you dare. I've never made it past 36 seconds of listening.
