Don't forget Jeremy Soule! (unless you've mentioned games he's scored that I don't know about)
He's written soundtracks for games such as Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights, and The Elder Scrolls (Morrowind & Oblivion) among others, starting from the age of 19 -- talk about talent!
Sharing two favourites, Oblivion's main theme and another from Icewind Dale:

Forgotten Realms games seem to have some great music! There was another game, Demon Stone, that was pretty neat if you could get through the fact that all you could do was smash the X button. But it had some epic music playing all the while:

This song hasn't been used in a game, but it sounds like it should be in one: Evil-Dog: "The Last Stand"I actually used "atmosphere_07" from "Oblivion" for a veil poi routine once, about two years ago now (I liked the music from that and "Morrowind", what can I say?). I didn't realize that the composer was that young, though.

I love Oblivion's main theme. It's just so epic that when it plays at the main menu you just can't help but get excited about all the adventures you're about to have.

Morrowind had the superior musical score, I thought. Oblivion's just felt rushed.

I never managed to play Morrowind. Oblivion's the only TES game I've played so far, I'll have to try and get Morrowind off Amazon or something.

I liked "Morrowind's" story and gameplay a bit better than "Oblivion's" as well, but "Oblivion" had the song that I could use in a performance.

I also found Morrowind much more immersive than Oblivion (and goodness, what a beautiful setting!). When I first heard Oblivion's main theme (which is a different take on Morrowind's), I was frustrated because it felt rushed. But then it grew on me and I think I nowadays prefer it because it has an epic, adventurous and promising feel to it.

I never gave Morrowind a fair shake. I guess because I had already played Oblivion, and Morrowind was on a learning curve all its own. I should give it a try, though; I think I have a copy of it somewhere...and I'm not sure how I got it. xD

This is really a great piece of music, I'm a sucker for anything with a good piano in it though.

I have a copy of Morrowind, and one day when I have a decent PC, I'll give it a good go - and replay KOTOR as well!

I love how that piece of music reflects the character of Cohen. First the smooth piano, but with edges of dissonance, letting you know he's not quite all there.

I already posted this piece in another thread, but I realised it should be here too.
I'm amazed I forgot this - it's easily my favourite videogame score. I always thought that the people who designed Jade Empire's gameplay really dropped the ball, just because they were letting that music down. There should have been sequels, and MORE of that MUSIC!
I remember thinking when I first heard this music, that not only were game scores starting to sound like epic Hollywood movies, but that this one sounded better than most of them. This game was out about the same time as Howard Shore's 'Lord of the Rings' score, and I really think they're comparable.

This:
Dungeonsiege was an okay RPG (much, much better when released as the engine for Ultima 5 - Lazarus though!), but it's music was amazing. This theme is so epic and soaring, I love it. I still remember walking around and humming this for weeks after I finished the game.
