Like him or hate him, you have to admit he is our Council's TOP AGENT, and that's not going to change any time soon. Sorry, snowflakes.

After Saren died he got worshiped by pedantic turian military cheerleaders and his family got sued by an action vid star and lost a ton of their credits.

If they remade Mass Effect today, there could be a Deus Ex-style conversational boss fight where Shepard's opponent can cancel out the inspirational Charm dialogue options Shepard can select by just accusing her of Virtue Signalling.

Still think Sarens decision to let the Reapers give him a cybernetic arm and other implants was a really shrewd bit of 3D chess.

You've gotta give it up for Jeong. Using his superior grasp of the facts to fool the normies.

TURIAN COUNCILLOR: I believe you humans have a saying, "a broken clock is right once a day". COMMANDER SHEPARD: Here's another one: "Suck on my chocolate salty balls." (disconnects)

Replaying Mass Effect 1 and Garrus definitely gives off much stronger "angry, disaffected young white dude who also happens to be a fucking cop" vibes than I remembered.

If they made Mass Effect today, Saren would only get a slap on the wrist and a brief cancellation for doing Eden Prime.
By the end of the game, after a period where he stepped away to consider his actions and mistakes/kill his way to the Mu Relay, he'd be back doing Spectre shit, albeit in a way that appealed to a more toxic turian/krogan/vorcha audience.

Wow I have no time for Ashley anymore. Between repeatedly comparing sentient aliens to animals, and subtly implying paragon Shepard doesn't care about Earth as much as she does, someone's got a hot ticket to Virmire.

Have you seen Documentary Now?
The episode with the Vice reporters and the cartel is hilarious.

So if Commander Shepard is a member of the Greatest Generation (Grew up in a comparatively shitty time, fought in a large-scale conflict that changed the face of their entire culture) and Ryder is a Millennial (More informal, has less friends, inherited a very mixed legacy from their parent, has to work a lot harder for things their forebears took for granted) does that mean the protagonist of a future Mass Effect game would be more of a Gen-Z type figure?
Renegade options replaced with memes and "social experiments"?
