NPCs in this need to just randomly blurt out "True love can be hard to find!" like it's the "Enemies Are Everywhere!" of this world.

I think I'm hearing Jen Hale....
Edit: Also I wanna shout "Stand-by for Titanfall" every time I crash land.

Goddamn mmo's and their goddamn reliance on other players. There's barely any story to see thus far.

People don't MMO for the story. That's why SWTOR failed.
It looks pretty. Maybe worth a look. I'll need more than a scripted setpiece like that to go on though.

I only game for the story. That's why I loved Mass Effect so much and hated the short-changed conclusion.

Not disagreeing with you, but having played SWTOR for the story and getting bitched at for not spacebarring past cutscenes I'm not completely talking out of my ass here. Going too heavy on story and too light on end game content was what pushed them to F2P. They are now trying to force people to sub by locking away content, but that simply pushed me away. total loss on all counts.
Being a little more clear on what the game is this time might help it succeed. Kinda funny, that their multiplayer team made ME:A and their RPG team is making this though. EA is really fucking the dog out of all sense and sensibility here.

Actually, EA and Common Sense has been divorced since 1982.

Some of the reviews are in and this game is looking like a garbage fire.
RIP Bioware.

I wouldn't say this games amazing, but calling it a trash fire is a tad reductive.
Plus, one of the good things about this sort of game is they tend to improve over time after patches and updates. Look at Warframe, Rainbow Sox and Destiny (that one's a bad example though because it seems to pinball between good and shitty.)
People even sort of like No Mans Sky these days.

Except none of those other examples are run by EA and one of them is under an excellent FTP model rather than an 80.00 CAD price tag.
Treating this with scepticism especially since my computer probably can't run it and my bank account certainly can't.

Biggest plot twist in Anthem, I learned from the end credits that Preston Watamaniuk, the lead designer for the Mass Effect trilogy, still works for BioWare. It's just been 7 years since the last game he was credited on came out.

Some of the reviews are in and this game is looking like a garbage fire. RIP Bioware. It's not really a trash fire mess if you ask me. It's just a tad bland. There are other games are much more rubbish than this.
