In all seriousness:
The Groanworthy:
- This is a strange Duck Dynasty ad. - This is really reeking of BioShock Infinite try-hardism. Please UbiSoft, don't. - There's a dog... please don't make me kill the dog... - Seriously UbiSoft, I loved Far Cry 3, but I had horrible memories of playing the game back in 2012, as it was right at the time my buddy Zippy was on her last legs. And there was that awful side mission where I had to use a rocket launcher to kill a bunch of feral dogs. Don't do that again, for fuck's sake. - Too many goddamn beards. I mean, fuck.
The Hopeful:
- As repetitive and buggy as Mafia III was, it had the absolute best political backdrop I've ever seen in a video game. It didn't hold back for shit, and nobody (at least nobody gives a shit about) threw a fit over it. Nearly nothing was cringeworthy, and it just fit. I hope they go that route and don't hold back on what makes the reality of such things shitty. - I'll probably get yelled at by some people here, but shooting far-right Christian Militia members sounds like a fun time to me. Fuck those cocksuckers. - Please, please hire an awesome country music/Appalachian ambient artist to score this. Ry Cooder (who did the music for Last Man Standing (1995)) would be my first plea, but I dunno if he's even living anymore.

It's set in Montana... Appalachian Music?
I prefer blowing up the Brotherhood of Steel, but to each their own.

I'll take anything even remotely in the realm of Justified-type open-world RPG. Kind of intrigued.
Also good on Ubi for not trying to steal RDR 2's thunder and making it a Wild West-set game.

Honestly, I thought that the guys looked like half of the youtube "skeptic community." The American flag just added to the laughs.

A game where Carl of Swindon and ArmoredSkeptic and the lot are the main villains sounds hilarious actually. The boss fights are basically them just performing Olympic medal worthy mental gymnastics.

ArmoredSkeptic, sadly is Canadian, we have a surprisingly large number of extreme right loons and shitlords up here. I find him entertaining but he's as hypocritical as the rest of them. Stephan Molyneaux is worse than anyone in the US short of MAYBE Alex Jones and he's a Canuck. Their special ability would be "reality denial" where they would have reams of paper with conspiracy theories on them to block attacks with.

You never know, they might turn out to be a left-wing militia like in that one mission of Hitman 2016.
Also, Watch_Dogs 2 was a surprising improvement. If Ubisoft could pull something like that off again, I would be interested.

Unlikely. That could be a poster for the Leonard Gowan song "Guns and God." The left rarely mixes religion and guns the way the right does.

I thought you guys might get a chuckle out of some overreaction a friend of mine on FB had to the game. I & others countered, and he and his cadre of sensitive snowflakes (I can use that term on here...) reacted, including this post.

Is this the part where I bring up the stereotypical Russian Nationalists and Middle Eastern types I see dredged up over and over CoD and break out the world's tiniest violin?
These asshats can dish it but are utterly incapable of taking it.

Seriously though, how is Walton Goggins not playing the villain in this? "Villain in a Far Cry game set in the US backwoods" is basically the role he was born to play!

I think my favourite thing about this game is that the melee weapon and animal taming mechanics from Far Cry Primal are still in it.
So you can play as some sort of terror cop who sics lions and throws baseball bats at people.

Publishers are missing a trick not just hiring Ray Sipe to promo their games.
It is a Far Cried life, after all.
