Been thinking of starting up a 100 words for next month, since I got some fresh ideas. Two ideas and having a hard choice to choose them. But I digress, so who's joining in this time?

Well, no biggie if you don't feel like it.
I'm going to write about an urban fantasy set in the Prohibition Era.

This is probably too early in the month, but wow. I've heard of the tutors, Lily. And reading them seems a massive bittersweet, considering we all knew how it ended up, particularly Kathrine. Still, quite poetic in a literacy kind of way.
Cali, I'm quite intrigue of the fur trading setting that you have. I'm curious to see where this goes.

I know rushing is bad, but I can't wait till the clock strikes 12, so I can add another entry.

I've heard of the tutors, Lily. And reading them seems a massive bittersweet, considering we all knew how it ended up, particularly Kathrine. Still, quite poetic in a literacy kind of way. Yeah, Tudor-era England was a pretty turbulent time after Henry decided to set Katherine aside and pursue Anne Boleyn - I mean, he not only shocked the masses with his poor treatment of England's Queen (the people of England loved Katherine, from what I read) and his subsequent forced divorce and banishment on her, but also with his making the unpopular Anne Boleyn - a relative commoner compared to the type of woman he was expected to marry - his new Queen, and also his war against the Catholic Church. He desired to become Supreme Head of the Church in England - and he spawned a new form of religion, which led to the long and bloody conflict between Catholics and Protestants in England for many years after. My goal with the snippets of his wives is to write the more human element - setting aside all the grand religious political confusion from the time and focus only on the thoughts of the women who had to do whatever it took to survive in Henry's court. I really like your entries, too - I laughed pretty hard at the final line of the first entry - "Shite and fat buggery" - I just couldn't help giggling over that line...

Well, on the brighter side, England became a safe haven for the Protestants in the years to come, especially during the Dragonades incident centuries later, when King Louis XIV of France decided to persecute the Protestants in France. Plus there's the whole factor of the inner politics with the Catholic Church at the time, which probably saved some grief for England in the long run. Still, I'd say King Henry VIII reasoning to break up from the Catholic Church is very selfish.
Can't wait to see the entry of Henry's last wife.
