I was just looking at the Wiki pages of the previous games, and noticed that Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim were all released about five years apart from each other. Who knows, maybe we're coming up to the announcement of TES VI? I hope so, anyway.
I'd love to play a game in Hammerfell. Curved swords, deserts, Arabian Nights-style architecture. It'd be a blast.

That would be a blast. Good idea. I had always fancied a game called 'Elsweyr' for the title alone, but I'm not a fan of Khajit (sorry Till). Hammerfell would be perfect.

It would be hilarious if it was set in Black Marsh and everyone who didn't pick an Argonian constantly had severe poison effects to deal with.

In all seriousness, I rather like the idea of having a game set in Hammerfell, Elsweyr, or the Summerset Isles! Maybe a game featuring the option of a war to take down the Thalmor?

This Khajiit thinks you're racist, hmm? Kidding. Actually I would like an Elder Scroll game set in Hammerfell too. But Summerset Ilse and Elsweyr are good too, as long I have the option to put a spike dedric boot up the Thalmor's collective asses. Permanently. But for the love of all things, don't revisit Cyrodiil for the next game. At least as the main setting. DLC might be fine though.

Hammerfell would be perfect. Not only for curved swords, but because Hammerfell is the most interesting province aside from Morrowind.
I mean, hell. Anybody who disliked Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard IS NO FRIEND OF MINE. Just so ya'll know.

Can I still be your friend? * bats eyes adorably* I'm sure I'd like it if I played it...

I'm also all in favour of being able to sort out the Thalmor. That seemed like a strangely unfinished storyline in Skyrim. A constant frustration in a game about empowerment. Would have bought any DLC that allowed me to sort them out too - curious missed opportunity.

I will admit that one evening, after a particularly difficult and frustrating day at work, I came home and loaded up a new character in Skyrim - one who had not yet done the "Diplomatic Immunity" quest where you infiltrate the Thalmor Embassy to get information on Esbern and the Blades... and just threw all semblance of stealth out the window. I rampaged through the Embassy killing every Thalmor agent I could get to... and it was pretty fun!
Usually I try to be as stealthy as possible... I read online that if you play as an Altmer, and wear the Hooded Thalmor Robes as you infiltrate the Embassy, supposedly you can just stroll past the guards and they think you're one of them. Up to a point. So far I have not been able to achieve that method of infiltration - I usually end up running through the Embassy throwing firebolts left right and center...

Up to a point. As a fan of stealth and elves I can confirm that! It also works - provided you keep a very wide berth - if you're a Bosmer. You'll hear them muttering that the new guard is a bit short. xD

I have not been able to get it to work... every time, the guards are instantly hostile as soon as they see me... Aside from being an Altmer or a Bosmer, and wearing the Hooded Thalmor Robes, is there anything specific I have to do to successfully disguise myself as a Thalmor?

I don't remember all that well..... but yes I did play as both races of elf. Hm. Maybe don't get too close or try to talk to anyone. You still can't get into the door unless you distract the guard somehow, and once you get in you'll be attacked on sight.

Well, I'm starting a new game today with a new Altmer character... and I'll see what happens... but I've not gotten past the first guards with the right robes before, so I wonder...
I always have my characters set to auto-run as opposed to slow walking, simply because I am impatient and can't stand how slow the 'walk' is... maybe the fact that I'm running tips off the guards? I'm going to test that today...
