I am suddenly and depressingly reminded of how the Nostalgia Critic replaced his dialogue in the Batman and Robin movie with "wha wah wah wha wah wahh" and how thoroughly well that worked.

I had to share this tidbit I found regarding some of the promotional material released for the movie. www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/comicsandcosplay/11850-Rainy-Day-Superman-Fights-For-Truth-Justice-And-Mopey-PoetryA lot of these edits were beyond terrible but were at least more enjoyable then the unnecessarily grimdark emo Superman in the rain bit. Do you guys remember when movies were fun? I don't want to be depressed when I walk out of a movie theater, especially at those prices. Edit: Wow, the same shit happened with the Afleck Batman, some of it really good. Snyder, Nolan and whoever wrote this shit need some counselling though. I really don't think it's healthy to have this depressing shit come out so frequently.

Do you guys remember when movies were fun? Back in 2012 with Avengers? Next month with Guardians of the Galaxy?: You'd be depressed if you had to go to Gotham, too. It's like Detroit but even worse.
And there are killer clowns, poison plants, roided out luchadors crippling people and a clearly mentally ill billionaire kicking everyone's asses with his super kung fu.

So stoked for a talking racoon and Vin Diesel saying the same line over and over again guys...

If I didn't know you better, I'd think you were being sarcastic, Gorvar.
Plus it's got Merle Dixon as a big blue alien, Nathan Fillion in an unspecified cameo and possibly a talking dog with a Russian accent.

Guardians of the Galaxy looks like all manner of fun. Better yet, some of our key people at work should be back from vacation in time for me to actually have time and energy to see it. August at work really, really sucks as we are located in the middle of a major retail area and the back to school malarkey has turned into a month long deal because shoppers have no impulse control anymore.
We're already zombies I'm afraid, the flesh just isn't dead yet.

I promise I'm not trying to be a downer, but -- to me Guardians is looking more and more like a pile of balls with every trailer. I see an unlikable leading man, a lazy, demoralising girl-with-a-shower-scene tactic and a dull, a cheesy premise that Joss Whedon has already done better a hundred times. I look at it and I just think 'you're trying too hard'.
I swear I don't just hate everything! I love the rest of the Marvel movies, man. I even liked the latest Spider-Man, despite the flaws. And God, the new X-Men was incredible.

I really hope the rumours about Jared Leto being the Joker in the DCCU are true, solely so I can post this anytime somebody asks, "but why doesn't Batman just kill the Joker?"
Also, DC's first choice was apparently Ryan Gosling. What the literal fuck? The guy's not really known for his intense emotion or sense of humour, you know.

Well know I know why they didn't call it World's Finest. You can get sued for false advertising.

Zack Snyder's defense of why Batman blowing away a bunch of goons totally doesn't count as breaking his no-killing rule is one of the funniest things I've heard in a good while, to be fair.
Dat murderer-logic.
