So what do y'all think? I like the suit, and really like the Batmobile. Especially the way it looks like a Batmobile, and not a tank. All they need to do now is prove Affleck can act. I'm not sure about the actual film, remembering that Zack Snyder is directing, the fact it seems to be a full-on Justice League film, that Mark Zuckerberg is playing Lex and the unlikelihood of it being able to have all of this crammed in while solving Man of Steel's problems. One thing the Dark Knight Returns look of the batsuit's got me thinking about is Affleck's age. He's already in his 40s, and if they're planning to keep the Justice Leaguers around for as long as the Avengers, we might have a Batman that's pushing 50. Hopefully that means we get a more gadget-heavy Batman than Bale's brawler, and a decent attempt at including the Bat-Family (which would also be a good way of having a supporting cast that doesn't heavily feature characters that were cast and played perfectly in the Nolan series. (The new Spider-Man films have been doing this because everyone recognizes no one could play JJ better than JK Simmons)).

Well they are clearly going for a Frank Miller's Batman who is quite a bit older so I can see a near 50-ties Batman with no problem. I agree on the gadgets though, how many times did Batman use those Batarangs in the Nolan movies?

Not often enough. The only gadget he seemed to have in the Nolan movies was a thing to make it sound like he was crushing rocks in his throat.

Cape-gliding isn't without precedent. It was a fixture of early Batman stories (and part of the original concept as I recall, before Bats became a detective).
I definitely agree that Nolan's Batman should have used gadgets more. Those movies had a more ninja feel than a Batman feel.

This needs to be the final scene of the film, with Batman and Superman turning to the camera and giving the audience really cheesy grins while still shaking hands.

In a movie written by Nolan? I really don't see that happening. More likely Superman will try to be all moral, Batman will verbally serve him up a plate of his ass and they will skulk off and be emo away from each other.

David "Blade: Trinity" Goyer writes the DCCU movies, but you're pretty much right. Goyer's recent comments about Martian Manhunter (That only virgins know the character and he'd have to be heavily edgied up to appear in one of these movies) were pretty disheartening. I don't really like this gritty approach they're taking with these films. After Man of Steel, I'd have thought they'd be jumping at the chance to get that sweet Kraft Foods product placement money, too.

The more I hear about this film the more scared I am. I know death of the Author but still no hopes. I also didnt like the She-Hulk comments there...

And now Daniel Radcliffe wants to be RobinHonestly, I'd be fine with this. He's a decent actor (well, in a world where Ben Affleck can be Batman, he's surely good enough to be Robin), looks the part (or has black hair, at least) and Warner Brothers do owe him one.

Splitting hairs here, but Radcliff is well into his mid 20s and can pass for older rather than younger. Robin is supposed to be a teenager, not that the Nolanverse cares deeply about keeping anything consistent with the source.

Or they could take inspiration from the Schumacher films (ha ha) and have Robin basically be Nightwing.
