So, ladies and gentleman, I stated in my introduction that I am working, along with many friends, to create an interesting story within the Mass Effect universe. With that requires some sick music. I mostly produce electronic music, with the occasional piano or orchestral piece. But me and my partner are working on producing our first track for the ME-Discovery project. Here is Sundans - Vas Normandy (Preview) a middle-eastern glitch track. We hope you like it, as we put a lot of work to give it a very cinematic feel. We kind of like to imagine Tali's return to the Normandy or something. Hope to release more tracks in the future. Oh, and that vocoder stating what you are listening to will not be in the full release.

I tried that link - but it takes me to a page saying "Address not Valid" - do I need to type a different address?
EDIT: Never mind - I got sneaky - I hit "Quote" and copied the link from your post - that music is awesome! That's one of my favorite styles of music, actually...
I look forward to hearing more!

Hope you enjoy it as it is released.

Alright, so two new full releases under! They have gotten pretty good ratings within both the Soundcloud and IDMF communities, though some pretty dismal ratings at Newgrounds (-_-) Anyway, here they are! Both of them may or may not contain spoilers about the fan fic we are writing. ^^' Sundans - Vas Normandy (Original Mix)soundcloud.com/sundans/vas-normandy-original-mix-Cinematic Glitch -Track length = 3:56 -Slow to buildup ("drop" at 1:56) -A middle eastern glitch track, we envisioned Tali's return to the ship. We also added a sweet little quote from her towards the end of the track. Sundans - Curfewsoundcloud.com/sundans/sundans-curfew-Cinematic Dark Glitch -Track length = 2:57 -Slow to buildup ("drop" at 1:47) -A dark and ominous cinematic track peaking at about 172 bpm. An emergency curfew is in effect on the citadel. Why?

I like those two songs a lot... I actually really loved the "Vas Normandy" track before the drop (that style of music has always been one of my favorite styles), though the whole track is awesome... and I loved the Voiceover during "Curfew", and I loved how it sped up and seemed to get more 'frantic' after the drop at 1:47...

I, personally, am very glad that you like the tracks. Vas Normandy was a total of 4 hours of production time. The percussion was actually the most difficult part of the track, as I am sure you can imagine getting human-sounding drum patterns purely on a PC was a hassle. The second track took only 2 hours, though it was definitely less complex.
Thanks for the comment! We hope to release several more tracks portraying the mood for key moments in our fan fic. We hope to get the first few chapters up on here by the end of next week!

Pretty good stuff.
I usually don't go for electronic music but that stuff had a nice groove to it.

I liked Curfew! Very atmospheric piece. I found Vas Normandy's vocal parts a bit harsh and jarring, but this is probably just a matter of taste.

We tried to get as much stereo from the vocals as possible. ^^' Thanks for listening! Pretty good stuff. I usually don't go for electronic music but that stuff had a nice groove to it. Hay, thanks for listening though!

We are working on a new neurofunk track entitled, "Investigate", which we dedicate to the C-Sec guys on the Citadel. Not finished yet, and still got a lot of work ahead of us for this track. But here is about what an hour and forty minutes can do. Check out the preview here. Also, in case you haven't checked it out, here is our minimal house Chora's Den track.

Because I know that clicking on links can be a bit monotonous, we will be posting all the tracks we want to share with you in video format... so you can just listen to it here...
So, with most of the Mass Effect: Discovery story now conceptually designed, meshed together with air-tight lore and logic, as well as fully flushed characters... we decided it was time to get a little more serious in our music production. Here is our first not-so electronic release for this music project.

Oh hey, more stuff with electronic musicians! Just out of curiosity, what's your studio set-up? I ask 'cause I've had some experience with virtual instruments and the like. So... yeah. What've you got at your disposal?
I haven't really listened to the other tracks, but I listened to the Kolyat track just now. It's actually... not that bad. It's not my kind of music (I'm much more of a classical music guy than I am for stuff like the ME soundtrack), but I rather liked that it had a groove and a good arch.
Resident composer, out.

I personally operate with just software, though I did, at one point, own a midi mixer. My partner owns a launchpad. It's good to see more producers out here! Ahem, I know I have been absent for a while. Here's a new tack, somewhat inspired by the Illium club music from ME2.
