Having to do a melee battle against five knights in a confined space without using potions, oils or signs mental.
My Geralt's mostly specced into using signs, so it felt like running into the old Human Revolution problem where all your amazing hacking skills don't count for anything when some shitty augmented superfreak's trying to kill you.
Also there's a bit where you can engage in a mounted duel with a knight, and the gameplay just totally wasn't built to support that shit.

I just took out my first hanse. That was pretty exhilarating. I think it was the biggest cluster of enemies I've fought in the game. At one point, I was blasting Ignis non-stop to keep like 10 bandits at bay.
Protip btw: If you don't wanna whittle the leader's health down, use Aard and some trick manoevering to knock him off the castle roof.

Lovely. I did that once with the cliff bandit fort in Velen. I was like "Where did he go?" and there was his crumpled body.
1 more retrieval jaunt about Skellige, and I'll have the majority of everything picked up and sold. Then most of the third act, then hearts of stone, and then Blood & Wine. I'm excited to see Regis. I've liked him as a character since I read about him in Witcher 1. (He was also in the last book I read).

There should've been a trophy for taking out all three hanses called "Hanse Stark".

Overall, I liked blood and wine. Lovely scenery, interesting quests. I liked the added element of the hanses being able to call reinforcements (they only got me once). The complications the villain provides were fascinating. I got the best ending, but only because I suspected what might happen and looked up solutions before I pursued anything in the finale. Still fun to play.
One quibble: In the Dandelion ending videos I've seen (I got Yen), he mentions the attack on Priscilla with no mention of Geralt's helping afterwards. Not cool.

I know this thread is long dead, but damn it all I am resurrecting it anyway.
A few months back I got the necessary upgrade to my computer to run this game and after dealing with several monetary crises I finally had a copy gifted to me. Slogging through Act 1 right now and my main complaint about the game is as follows. WHY the HELL did I wait so DAMN long to get this? Usually, when something gets this much hype it disappoints. I'm not sure this game was hyped quite enough. I can't get over how huge and lifelike the game is. And I have not even seen all of it yet. There are entire games shorter than a couple of the quest lines I have followed. CDPRed worked their asses off on this and they deserve every celebratory shot of vodka they got afterwards.

My main complaint about this game was when they released a DLC pack with hundreds of references to drinking, alcohol-related escapades and how great it is to have a drink two months after I went sober.

Ouch. But yeah, Wild Hunt was awesome.

Except for the Skellige loot. Dear god, so many caches.

Finished Wild Hunt and the two expansions both now.
That was a ride, I think I logged about 120 ish hours in that playthrough and it did not once feel like it was going on too long. Also easily the most beautiful game I have ever played, especially after going to Toussaint. Have no idea how it launched but it was pretty stable for me too. They're done with that setting at least for now and they will not be revisiting these characters again, so it's rather bittersweet. I just wonder if they can make Cyberpunk 2077 as good as this.

Hey congrats. Looks like you've caught up and then exceeded my progress.
Yeah, TW3 looks really good, even on the basic PS4. As far as I remember, I never had any problems with bugs at launch either, at least not to the extent of a Bethesda title.
I'm really interested to see more of Cyberpunk, too. Especially because it'll apparently have a much more customisable protagonist than Geralt.

I had a few bugs. I patiently upgraded my witcher swords to get the ultimate master super-duper sword, and when I got to toussaint, their recipe for the final Silver sword was glitched...

Feel like what with Henry Cavill's desire to play Bond, there should totally be an episode of the Netflix show that's just Casino Royale with Gwent.
Of course, it might be hard to be as cool as Daniel Craig when you're slapping down trading cards with your adopted daughter or co-workers on 'em.
