I loved that post credits scene where Vader sets distractingly-CGI'd Grand Moff Tarkin up on a date with distractingly CGI'd Livia Soprano.

Didn't want to put this in fallen stars, but Carrie Fisher suffered a heart attack in the last couple days. Praying she pulls through and beats the Curse of 2016

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the death of Carrie Fisher, aged 60. Seriously, fuck 2016.

I saw Rogue One in Imax on my trip. It was decent. It sacrificed moments that could have built characters (which would have made their loss more poignant) to play with the Star Wars tropes of space battles and weird alien marketplaces. Even Darth Vader's scenes were entirely nonsense until the end. I didn't mind CGI Tarkin, though it's not logical that he'd demand to test the weapon if he'd already tried it twice. It was ridiculous that Leia & her ship would have been at the battle. It would have changed the whole dynamic of the entry into episode 4. The whole drama of the opening scene of that film is the little ship being shot at by the huge destroyer. But in Rogue One it was responsible for the destruction of 2 of the same size ship! Retcons are silly and they should be kept to a minimum (I reserve the right to reform this opinion if the Han Solo movie turns out awesome).

Elseworlds where Palpatine gets pec implants and a fake arse instead of toppling the Senate.
Revenge Body of the Sith.

Brb, just been exiled to Planet Terrio, home of lame dialogue, things that should be sure fire hits turning out to be massive disappointments and people who think Argo was a good film.
