Oh, he did a great job as Haymitch... he's just an awesome actor anyway.

Harrelson done good.
Lily - the believability only gets worse as the books go on. I had to keep reminding myself that it's only a story.

The Hunger Games is actually a nearly blatant rip-off of another series that dealt with a dystopian future. I can't remember the name of the original off the top of my head, but Hunger Games is basically the original story re-written for the Twilight crowd.

Nice generalisation there, Iron. And I believe the series you're referring to is "Battle Royale". And wasn't it just one book? As far as I know...
Now, I am not a Twilight fan - in fact, though I have read all four Twilight books (I'll read almost anything... once...) I find the story somewhat dull and the characters horrendously under-developed and cliche.
The Hunger Games was better written, the characters somewhat better developed...
I'll not claim that The Hunger Games is the best series around (again, I might read them twice... probably not more than that) but... one does not have to be a Twi-Hard to enjoy The Hunger Games.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Hunger Games, so we agree on that. And please cut me some slack. After delving into Orwell, Huxley, Vonnegut, Poe, Asimov, Sagan (just re-read Contact last week), along with trying to get my head into an Arkham Asylum inspired fic based on a character I've been writing drabbles for for more than 10 years. shit gets mixed up.

I was actually not trying to upset you, Iron, I was only making a point...
