But yeah, I'm starting to like this guy. (I also am warming to Reynolds, just between you and me).

And he's Wolverine!

He is NOT Wolverine. He is the man who neutered Wolverine. That's the whole reason I hated him in the first place.

I just love Hugh Jackman - if I was given the chance to meet one actor... well, I'd actually have a pretty hard time deciding between meeting Hugh Jackman, or Neil Patrick Harris... those two keep battling for top spot on my list of favorite actors... ;D

Yeah, I'd like to meet those guys too.

You know, I don't think I'd really like to meet any of the big stars out there. Because there's no way they can live up to their characters in my head, as well as I have nothing to connect with them save those roles. I'm sure they'd be polite, but Neil Harris isn't NEIL PATRICK HARRIS. He's just an actor who's good at his job. I know if someone came up to me while I was delivering pizzas and was like "YOU... You're CLINT!!!! I'm so thrilled to meet you, I remember when you delivered that pepperoni 6 months ago, and it just touched me" it would be rather aggravating and kind of scary. I'd rather wind up meeting them in a diner somewhere and pretend I don't have a clue who they are and let them eat in peace.

Good point Clint.
I have read that actors like coming around to Halifax for that very reason. The locals for the most part don't get in celebrity's faces and demand slices of their time just because they are famous. That was a pretty outdated sentiment from around 10 years ago but would not be surprised if it still held true. We get the odd movie shot here and the actors seem to like coming here.

Just to be clear, I never said I'd get right in their face. When I said "if I was given the chance to meet one actor" I was referring to an agreed upon meeting that the actor in question agreed upon in advance.
I would not be so rude as to see Hugh Jackman (for example) on the street and go running up and get in his face and start harassing him... I might nod and say Hi in a friendly way if I bumped into him, but I would not immediately start calling attention to the fact of his identity.

I for one would love it if somebody came up to me and said that something I'd done had touched them. You'd have to be pretty hard not to enjoy hearing that news.

But yeah, I'm starting to like this guy. (I also am warming to Reynolds, just between you and me). First you and I actually agree completely on a subject of conversation (Voyager's awesomeness). Now you are starting to warm up to Ryan Reynolds? That's two signs right there. I'm guessing the third is "Buch makes Youtube vid inviting Anna Faris to a party celebrating a major British holiday". ;D

Oh man, you're right. Something's wrong with my head here. Better take my brain medicine....
Ahhh that's better. Satisfying, flavourless, routine hatred.

FYI I wasn't accusing anyone of anything, just sharing long held confusion regarding popular figures. I don't think I'd be able to cheer at even a Frank Sinatra Concert.

I'm sure it is annoying when people are always coming up to you for autographs or whatever, especially when they don't really like you but just want to meet the famous guy.
I don't like cheering at concerts either. I paid my money, now you play the songs. I like to actually listen to them, you know? But then, I am immensely grumpy and awkward.

I imagine that that depends on the band and their attitude towards their fans. I think a lot of them actually take the energy their fans give out when they show their appreciation and rock even harder. It must be hard to play to a crowd that is not showing you some love, but with the right band and performance, the crowd and the band can feed off each other and really make the show something else. This is especially true for those acts that actually perform on stage rather than mime out a pre-recorded track like I have heard can happen.

If they mimed, I would not only demand a refund but murder them on stage.
