I received a PM from ProBoards (our Lords and Masters) today, advising me that some of the posts on the forum had been flagged as "harrassing". I've looked at the two posts in question, but cannot actually see what is wrong with them. However, to avoid any future trouble with ProBoards I have, at their request, deleted the two posts. I don't like deleting member posts without a damned good reason, but as we may be threatened with closure, in this instance, I feel I must. I suspect the message was automated and flagged up by some of the wording. While I don't think there was anything wrong with the posts, I don't want to risk the board as a whole. The two authors of the posts will receive a PM with a copy of their post, just so they know why it has been removed. I'd also like to stress that I think our forum is one of the best websites I have ever known for thoughtful, friendly discussion; even on the really big issues (religion, politics, the ME3 ending), and congratulate all you guys for making this board what it is. I know I don't post here a whole lot, but I am very proud of our little community, and want to assure you that I don't believe ProBoards when they say there is anything wrong with the content of our forum. It's a shame we have to delete some of the posts, but it's a small sacrifice to make sure we get to keep our board. Keep up the good work. Rascarin

Yeah I'm a bit curious, too, but I feel obligated to respect some people's privacy.

Well said, Scarin.
This is a surprise to me, too. I didn't even know ProBoards did that sort of thing.

That feeling of relief when it doesn't seem to be you that made the comments.

As one of you guys said in the past: "We're trying to form a lynch mob, not a militia unit". ;D

That is odd. I know we did a few checkered posts here and there before. (Sometimes even worse, from time to time in the early years.) but we don't have that sort of warning before. I might be a little off my head, but I just hope the posts in the question weren't from recent times, due to a few... heated emotions. You know what I'm talking about.

*Stands here holding pitchfork looking around not knowing what to do*
Yeah I'm surprised we are getting this warning now but eh it's taken care of.
I'll also take this time to say I love this little community and I love you guys!

Here's a question I need to ask before I jump to conclusions:
Can someone theoretically contact the Proboards people, saying "oh, hey, X comment is cyberbullying, delete it please"?

Yes it could be either an auto-flag or a member flagging them.
I don't know much about this case, to be honest. I get the impression Rascarin knows what she's doing, and I know from experience that she wouldn't delete the posts unless she had to.
