Self explainatory. I've been putting my energy with my fan-comic again and I want to know what is a good place to start looking when it comes to good examples. I have a few comics, mangas and how-to-do books on hand; but still more knowledge the better, right? Any ideas folks?
And of course those ME official comics don't count from what I have seen so far.

I think the new Green Lantern series is good, as is Batman. Space cops and detective shtuff. I would suggest the Wolverine and the X-men or Uncanny X-force if you want super hero highschool with powers and such (Biotics) and the gritty violent covert op team (Cerberus) respectively.

I'm a big fan of Vertigo's comics.
Preacher - Really disturbing and lewd, but has some of the best dialogue and the funnest characters in the panels. Transmetropolitan - Another great one. Has a Blade Runner/Orwell's 1984 vibe to it, and the main character "Spider Jerusalem" is really cool. Sandman - A very surreal and oftentimes artistic one. Very good.
To a lighter extent, I also like Dark Horses' Knights of the Old Republic line of graphic novels.

Dark horse Star wars comics are automaticly good. Get the Clone wars comics from the Republic comic book line (Escpially the Battle for Jabiim series which i keep preaching is the best Clone wars story ever) and Legacy as well which features a Pirate Skywalker who is on deathsticks and flees from the Empire AND Remnants of the Republic alike following another rise of the Sith Empire. Very Firefly-esque.

Oh yeah! Sandman! Why I didn't think of that. I love Neil Gaiman's works. I should definitely check that out.

I don't know anything about comic books, other than that Watchmen was close to a masterpiece.
But I bet the Neil Gaiman ones are good! In fact, tell me which ones you like, if you read those, so I can read them too.

Typical English chaps. Then again, Australians didn't fare better.

V for Vendetta and Watchmen are probably my favorite graphic novels. I've heard very good things about The Walking Dead, as well!

The art style in The Walking Dead were pretty goreous when I've check at Borders at one time.
I've been thinking about getting the whole set of Lone Wolf and Cub. It's one of my favourite comics of all time and the art style itself was really beautiful. And I've when after I've finished the last chapter in the middle of that same bookstore. Pretty embarassing but the story itself was kinda worth it.

Double post.
I have a question, should I get Assassin's Creed: The Fall? I heard from a couple of people said it was decent, artwise. Still I like to have a second opinion on this.
