Ezio is a charmer with a great character arc.
The story is a lot more personal for him than it is for Altair and the 3 games kinda follow his life. Too bad the third one was so...meh.

I heard how meh it is for the third game, but how bad is it? Is it more tolerable than ME3 ending, right? If so I can handle the meh factor.

Haven't yet finished it. I really need to pick it up again, I seem to savour AC games like fine wine over the course of really long time.
You might think they jumped the shark a bit with the end of AC 2, but they dropped enough hints to make not come completely out of the blue. I just found Revelations had a lot of busy work and the whole tower defense mechanic while largely avoidable was weird.

A cliffhanger ending with a hook towards it, eh? That's more than manageable for me, it probably won't so much of a meh to me if I'm that lucky enough.
I also hear you that the Ezio trilogy is like fine wine. Believe or not, I had this game for a while now, but I didn't get to it till this year, due to the busy work I have to do with Uni and stuff. Since I got freetime on my hands, needed something for a change from the ME series and my liking of the concept artwork; I've decided to give this Ezio saga a spin. Have to say it's more than my money's worth from the end of the year tax sales at the time.

I just get a kick out of Ezio's hook device and the fact that it doesn't tear his arms from his sockets everytime he grabs something.

Ezio is in his early fifties during Revelations, and must have had kids a few years after that. The guy only settled down to start a family after he was older than the typical life expectancy of his time period. Crazy stuff.
But yeah, I think Ezio is the only character in gaming you get to play from a baby to an old man. Outside of The Sims, I guess. It's pretty much impossible not to get attached to him.
Connor doesn't really measure up. He's kind of dull, and doesn't seem to care about much apart from his tribe and his obsession with CHARLES. LEE.

I'm pretty sure Ezio had a few bastardos if you catch my drift. But yeah the connection you get with Ezio is pretty strong, you are there from AC2 to AC; Embers. I cried at Embers, I dare any of you to admit you felt something at the end.
Interesting trivia, the Chinese assassin from embers amde the rope dart which Conner uses in AC3.
Also the sole Assassin who comes anywhere clsoe to Belgium is Erasmus....yeeeaaahh...

LEE.Yeah, I was there during the birth scene, which took me off guard a little since I don't expect to see that beyond a Sims game. For a game that probably wasn't supposed to be "Emotionally Engaging"... let's just say was I'm warmed up by the birth scene. I was trying not to, but yeah. I'll see how the rest of the series go beyond Brotherhood (I head that game was a massive improvement over AC2). Especially No.3. I get the feeling I might a pull a Buch on this when it comes to Connor...

Liquid Snake's a pretty damn good villain. He's got a hammy British accent, an overly complex plan to get ONE BILLION DOLLARS and apparently dragged an unconscious Snake on top of Metal Gear, attached a timebomb to Meryl and took Snake's shirt off just so they could have a dramatic fistfight. That's dedicated villainy. I also liked his sunglasses.

All the AP lovers on this site and we never got around to a man who only needs four words to describe his awesomeness.

Meh. he was easy to beat. Chain shot right as he announces himself on the balcony w/ steel rounds, with 6 in the head? Down.

Which boss in Alpha Protocol isn't simplicity itself to beat if you spam Chain Shot? Which reminds me, next time I replay Alpha Protocol, I need to do a CQC-only playthrough. It's just a shame you can't give Thorton a mullet, an eye patch or a bandana.

It's just a shame you can't give Thorton a mullet, an eye patch or a bandana. But you can give him a lumberjack beard which provides some measure of epic. And a CQC-primary playthrough is possible. The game scripts rocket launchers to deal with vehicle bosses and as long as you put some points into rifles or pistols, you can bring down Darcy. I did a Chuck Norris build where I focused on martial arts, toughness, and SMGs (dual-wield Uzis FTW).

I love this guy. He's just hilariously written, and John DiMaggio is a fantastic voice actor. His laugh is also incredible. Also, I'm playing I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, and I'm really identifying with this AM guy:
